If you’re looking for authentic Japanese vegetarian food, Veg-An is truly a hidden gem! Tucked away at Trio Mall, this cozy café exceeded my expectations. I absolutely loved their Teriyaki Tofu Balls—they were juicy, flavorful, and coated in a delicious teriyaki sauce. Their set meals are also well-balanced, satisfying, and beautifully prepared. I actually found this place after searching Google for the best vegetarian restaurants in Singapore, and I’m so glad it led me here. Every dish was fresh, tasty, and made with care. One thing to note is that the seating area is quite limited, so it’s a good idea to check their operating hours and avoid peak periods before making your trip. Overall, this is a must-visit for anyone who enjoys Japanese cuisine, whether you’re vegetarian or not. Highly recommended!

amazing vegan tonkatsu ramen. the broth was rich yet not too heavy, with a nutty & garlicky flavour. the noodles were springy and perfectly cooked. the soy meat was sooo realistic, the texture is crazy! it’s so rare to find vegan ramen, i am very happy and satisfied. the staff are also very friendly and kind & patient. have recommended to friends and will definitely be back :-)

A true definition of a hidden gem. You won't find it off the main street, to be honest I had to put in the effort to find Veg-An on the top floor of a semi vacant office block on the edge of Little India. When I found the restaurant, there was some acclimatisation to the unique set up, with the dining area full of card and game paraphernalia, looking like it doubles up as a games night space. Once you get used to the setup, it is really quite charming. The food was sensational. My first meal in Singapore and probably the best. As a vegan, the opportunity to have a Don Buri is quite rare, and their Mock beef version was delicious and succulent. I also had a Burdock salad, which was reminiscent of a dish at a veggie restaurant in Australia back in the day, but much better. The miso soup tied everything together refreshingly. Had a lovely chat with one of the staff/owners comparing veganism in Australia to Singapore. Highly recommend. The 5 star average review here is warranted.

Food tasted amazing — a very satisfying meal that still felt healthy. Especially loved the mushroom in the bento, and the soy slices really remind me of meat. However the warabimochi was way too sweet; could do with maybe half the sugar. Overall really love the food and the motivation behind the place; will come back! :)

Heavenly Japanese vegetarian! The best seller, the Nagasaki Champon ($14) is a winner. The Yakiniku ($15) is also amazing, the mock beef tasted so much like the real thing. Only open for lunch with limited seating so please check their site and do a booking. Parking can be found in trio mall. Top floor. Enjoy!!!
