The hor fun is very salty, no “wok hei“, flat noodles were not fried before adding gravy, feels so uncooked. Shrimps were miserably small. Quite expensive and not worth the price tag. If you can fail a simple tze char dish like Hor Fun, I'm not hopeful about the rest of the dishes you are selling.

Drawn in by the enticing food display, we decided to step into Penang Savour for a quick bite and something to quench our thirsts. Since it was already 4 PM and dinner wasn’t too far off, We opted for a plate of fruit rojak and a drink each to tide us over. As someone who truly enjoys a good rojak, we were hoping for something memorable—but unfortunately, it fell short of expectations. While the dish was generously garnished with crushed peanuts, the prawn paste, which is key to tying everything together, wasn’t evenly spread. This resulted in a dish that tasted more like a medley of sliced fruits rather than the flavorful harmony that a well-made rojak offers. The fritters, which should have added a crispy texture, were instead overly toasted, making them hard rather than crisp. To make matters less balanced, the prawn paste leaned towards the salty side, which overpowered rather than complemented the fruits. On a more positive note, the dining environment was clean and comfortable, offering a decent setting for a casual snack. While this visit didn’t quite satisfy our craving for a great rojak, We appreciated the tidy ambiance.

PENANG SAVOUR @penangsavour • Deep Fried Hor Fun! 😛 • Food served in 5 minutes! Fast! 💨 • Not bad, but too crispy and crunchy so bite until very tired. 😂😂😂 Maybe i should let it soaked first a little while, so it becomes softer. • • Address: Kitchener Complex 809 French Road #01-36 Singapore 200809 • #singapore #lavender #kitchenercomplex #deepfriedhorfun #horfun
