Donkey and I first heard about Old Rochor Beancurd from our cycling friends, whenever we rode past they mentioned the bean curd is nice. This time we travelled from Punggol to the city and decided to stop by and try it. We visited on a Sunday and found the store quiet. It was cozy inside with air conditioning. We asked for hot bean curd and hot soya drink, but were told only cold options were available. We ordered cold bean curd and cold soya drink. The bean curd had a smooth texture, and the soya drink was balanced in sweetness. Only one staff member was working, and we think the store is likely more lively on weekdays. Food 4/5 Service 3/5 Atmosphere 3/5 Overall 3/5

View on GoogleHad a great experience at this salt of the earth traditional beancurd joint. It'd be a rare Singaporean who'd never heard of Rochor beancurd. Not 100% sure if this is affiliated with the others, I do know that the Geyland road one is seperate from the one at Short street, not sure which one this falls under, or if it's entirely independent. Regardless, if you're looking for traditional beancurd, you've come to the right place. If I'm looking for a low cal dessert and I'm in the area, I know where I'm going. Partner and I also encountered what seemed to be a European tourist with limited English skills who had just touched down in Singapore. He had no idea how to use PayNow, and repeatedly stated that he had no money, while attempting to buy a single beancurd from the vendor. Not sure how you can go around without cash or means of payment, but to be fair, the place is crammed with lots of hostels for foreigners. My partner and I did not opt to sponsor his dessert, but the generous vendor proceeded to do so. Very nice and hospitable female boss/ staff.

View on GoogleOld Rochor Beancurd 老梧槽豆花 is a delightful spot, especially with its air-conditioned environment offering a nice break from the heat. They have a great variety of beancurd toppings to choose from, adding a fun and customizable twist to the traditional dessert. The prices are very reasonable, making it an excellent choice for a quick, tasty, and affordable treat. Overall, it’s a fantastic place to enjoy some delicious and cheap beancurd.
