Fish noodles here made from yellowtail fish, super chewy, just the way it should be. Bonus points for being low in carb, so slurp away guilt-free! Minced pork noodles with mushrooms was also a winner. That tee pok (fried flatfish) flavour in the noodles gave a nice umami kick, overall not too salty, not too oily, just a happy healthy bowl. We added on some fried items and honestly, they were just okay as same stuff from the bowl but fried, nothing too exciting there. Would love to see more creative add-ons! The fried prawns were fresh, juicy and totally worth it. Order those for sure! The boss was super friendly and enthusiastic, you can tell he's really passionate about his food. That kind of energy makes the whole experience so much warmer and it's always nice to support someone who truly love what they do. 😊 Great spot for a comforting, no-frills Teochew meal. Will be back!
View on GoogleHad a fantastic lunch here with 3 friends! The 4 of us ordered the Bak Chor Mee with mee kia and the Yong Tau Foo with handmade fish noodles (Her Kiao). A huge highlight was the fish noodle—it doesn't use any flour at all and was absolutely delicious! Both the fish dumplings and fish noodles were outstanding. Beyond the food, I was deeply impressed by their service. After our meal, I placed a takeaway order. I got held up with some errands and was late for pickup, but the owner was so kind that they recooked a fresh, warm dish for me so it wouldn't be cold. Truly impressive "extra mile" service. Highly recommended!
View on GoogleHighly recommended traditional 鱼饺noodles. The biggest 鱼饺 I have ever tried. Both the noodles and 鱼饺 have my favorite 鳊鱼粉! Nowadays not many use 鳊鱼粉 yet this stall maintain his own traditional way. Frozen 鱼饺 are also sale. Can buy back for steamboat during Lunar New Year dinner!
View on GoogleStill thinking about the soup at Lucky Her Kiao! The broth is incredibly deep and flavorful. The Fried Her Kiao was the perfect crispy bite, so good I had to grab a takeaway order. Everything felt authentic and handmade. If you're looking for high-quality, traditional flavors, this place is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be coming back!
View on GoogleBrought the family to try out this new shop. We have been patronising the original shop for decades in TPY Lor 5. The her kiao is as good as it gets. Great texture. We also ordered the fish noodles. Great texture but too salty for me . Super friendly owner. Had a n interesting conversation about the making his her kiao. I have been eating at their original stall in TPY. The her kiao here has more filling but I prefer the chilli at TPY
