Food is good and nice . Ok for the environment for a local restaurant. Price is abit slight high side. I rated service lower due to longer wait for food, about 30+ minutes waiting - maybe because it is Sat. Good thing is they have valet parking so no worry about looking for carpark and price is ok. Advance reservation highly recommended. Please ask for ground floor if you have people who cannot climb staircase. There mainly for Treasure duck and it is good.
View on GoogleThis is an interesting and longstanding restaurant that offers authentic local Singaporean and Chinese (Cantonese-style) cuisine. The food is flavorful and well-prepared — definitely worth trying if you're in the area. It's quite popular among Japanese visitors and has even been featured in Japanese magazines, which speaks to its reputation. While the prices are on the higher side, the quality and experience justify the cost. Overall, a hidden gem that's worth a visit It was a bit noisy during my visit, as some customers were quite cheerful and loud, which made the atmosphere a little less relaxing.
View on GoogleI would not have come here if I hadn’t recalled a neighbour’s recommendation from five years ago. Unfortunately, the experience turned out to be thoroughly disappointing and well below par. The so-called signature duck, which required pre-ordering, was a letdown. It became almost painful to watch when the initial server had to be replaced midway because he was practically mutilating the duck while attempting to carve it. Adding to the unpleasantness, the atmosphere was anything but professional. What kind of eatery allows its cooks and serving staff to sit among the dining tables, chatting loudly, while guests are trying to enjoy their meal? In a space this small, the number of staff loitering around far outnumbered the diners — hardly the environment for a peaceful dining experience. Even basic knowledge about the menu was lacking. When asked how a dish was prepared, the server had no idea, and the owner’s vague response of “we use oyster sauce, etc.” only underscored the lack of culinary thought or care. Mediocre food and careless service are inexcusable. If this is the standard they aspire to, I believe their days are numbered.
View on GoogleFood wise is nice. Just the happy beancurd was really too pricey. Claimed to be a chef choice but it was just okay. Not much flavour. Overall experience, above average.
View on GoogleI tried the famous Paper Chicken near Netrie India. The chicken, cooked inside the paper with a rich garlic flavor, was incredibly juicy and full of taste. It was so delicious that I would love to come back again.
