If you’re craving authentic Tamil-style flavor, this place definitely delivers! I’ve visited their branch in Tamil Nadu and Bangalore, and I’m happy to say the taste here in Singapore is just as consistent. The restaurant itself is small and right on the main road, so parking is basically nonexistent, but the decor is cozy and reflects the chain’s history nicely. Tamil music plays throughout, which adds to the vibe, though it can get a little loud at times. I tried the Chicken Biriyani and tawa fish fry. The biriyani was spot on—perfectly balanced spice, each grain infused with masala, and a tender leg piece included. They also have bucket biriyani, which is great if you’re sharing with a group. The fish fry was soft, buttery, and boneless, enough for two people, though I would’ve preferred a thinner batter to let the fish shine more. Service was fine—the staff seemed a bit grumpy, but they were attentive and genuinely listened to feedback. They even offer pan for just $2, which is a fun little extra touch. Overall, a satisfying spot for anyone missing the classic Tamil flavor, especially if you don’t mind a lively soundtrack while you eat.

Went on sat after peak lunch hour. Super delicious vegetable masala curry, chicken curry and briyani. Very tasty curry n rice. Dont be fooled by the small bowls, it actl packs so much rice and curry until all of three of us were really full. Drinks were also tasty. Can ask for less sweet if you dont like too sweet. The best indian restaurant we ate at so far. Very fast, friendly great service too. Really recommended!!!

Very interesting restaurant serving both North and South Indian cuisine. The food is really delicious and I enjoyed the mutton biriyani as well as the butter chicken which was accompanied with fluffy paratha! The service was quick and the staff very friendly!

Tried the mutton biriyani at Dindigul Thalapakatti along with a soda lime, and it was absolutely delicious. The biriyani was rich, aromatic, and perfectly spiced. The mutton was tender and flavorful, and the rice had just the right texture. The soda lime was a refreshing balance to the meal. Everything about the experience felt comforting and spot on. Will definitely be back next time I’m in Singapore.

I recently ordered the Kari Dosa at Singapore Thalapakatti Briyani Restaurant, and I was quite disappointed. The taste didn't meet my expectations, especially considering the price. Unfortunately, this dish just didn’t deliver the quality I was hoping for. I might try something else next time.
