Had the dry noodles with assorted ingredients at Da Lian and really enjoyed the meal. The noodles were springy, well coated with the savoury Mee Kia and had a nice balance of flavour without being overly salty or oily. The bowl came with a generous variety of ingredients, including fishballs, meatballs, fish cake, minced meat, mushrooms and vegetables. Everything tasted fresh and went very well together. The accompanying soup was warm, flavourful and comforting, making the entire meal even more satisfying. I finished almost every last bit in the bowl, which says everything about how good it was. The dining area was also clean and comfortable, with a simple old-school atmosphere. A hearty and enjoyable bowl of noodles that I would gladly return for. Definitely deserving of five stars!
View on GoogleA nostalgic place that sell a wide variety of food and long operating hrs. Overall the food is nice but might be on a little pricy side of you compare with hawker centre that lhave similar food.
View on GoogleThis is a restaurant 🏪 that has been on my list 📋 for a while now. I rank this in as a must visit for a Singaporean 🇸🇬 makan (eat) spot! 😎 It is not often that I travel to Syed Alwi Road 🏘️. So, here’s my honest review. Restaurant – Located at Syed Alwi Road and it is 7 mins walk 🚶🚶♀️🚶♂️ from Jalan Besar MRT 🚇. If you drive 🚗there, parking 🅿️ would be an absolute nightmare 🤯, I will not advise you to do that 🙅♀️🙅🙅♂️. Smack 🎯 at the corner of a junction, the restaurant sits impressively facing a crossroad. They have several sitting 🪑areas so it shouldn’t be an issue to get a table. The restaurant is clean 🫧🧼, no funky smell 👃🏻 and it is bright 💡and well ventilated 💨. Staff – Minimum interaction coz you order 📝, pay 💵, and they will send the food 🤵♀️. But all of them were very friendly 😊, including the Indian 👨🏾 uncle who helped clear our tables. Food – You order 🗣️ your food along the sides facing the main road. They of course have the famous noodles 🍜 in the middle, then they have the add ons which I highly encourage you to try. 👍 We had such a spread! (See my pics 📸 and videos 📹) Teochew Minced Pork 🐷 Noodles 🍜, Fish 🐟 cakes, Fried Wonton 🥟, Satay 🍢, BBQ Chicken 🐓Wings…. Deadly 🫠. The Teochew Minced Pork Noodles are indeed special! ✅✅✅ The noodles are springy, well marinated with the base sauce and the not overly salty or oily. Super well cooked 🧑🏼🍳👩🏻🍳 and it justify the difficulties in finding parking LOL. 🤣 Thus, despite the parking, a lot of celebrities 🕺💃 come and eat here. I will bring my overseas guest 🧑🧑🧒🧒here to give them a try. Ultimately, they might not be the absolute best of the best in Singapore 🇸🇬, but they have the Satays and BBQ Chicken Wings to add on and that’s just fantastic! 😊
View on Googlehonesty, the hum inside the laksa very fresh. but the food CMI. laksa, no taste. soup no taste. BCM wah even worse. not cheap also eh. sianzzzzz. got aircon so quite shiok. other than that….
View on GoogleI remember it was a rainy night and I just ended my night shift work. Feeling hungry, we visited Da Lian for early supper and late dinner. Besides their BCM being very nice, they had bbq section that includes satays and chicken wings. I must say, their chicken wings are super on point!!
