This peranakan restaurant beats every other peranakan food places I have tried so far! Every single dish was perfectly executed and I could tell how much care and passion went into cooking the dishes. Each dish tasted exquisite and so delicious. Everyone in my dinner party of 7 agreed too. And oh, the service was excellent as well - thank you, team. I am still thinking about the food and cannot wait to revisit!

Had a wonderful dining experience at Peramakan Restaurant at Owen Road. The food was delicious, authentic, and full of rich Peranakan flavours, truly comforting and well-prepared. What made the experience even better was the service. The staff were genuinely warm, friendly, and attentive, making us feel very welcome throughout the meal. Highly recommended for anyone looking for great Peranakan cuisine and excellent hospitality. Will definitely be back again!

We brought visitors here for a Sunday dinner and true to its form, this place offers unpretentious home cooked Nonya cuisine with genuine services. I particularly loved the buah keluak here - the generous portion really allows its robust earthy flavor to shine through. Yum! I forgot to take pictures for most of the mains as a result :-). Everybody left with a smile. Thank you PeraMakan for such a memorable evening.

We visited Restaurant PeraMakan @ Owen Road for a pre-booked Sunday lunch with a group of 10, and overall it was a pleasant dining experience. 😊🍽️ The food was definitely the highlight of the visit. I wouldn’t say it was “mind-blowing”, but it comfortably sits somewhere between good and great. 👍 The two dishes that really stood out for me were the Curry Fish Head 🐟🍛 and the Beef Rendang 🥩. The curry was rich, fragrant and packed with flavour, while the rendang was tender and well-seasoned. Those two dishes alone are worth ordering if you’re dining here. The rest of the dishes were enjoyable too, although they didn’t quite leave the same lasting impression. Service, however, could certainly be improved. 🤔 Since we had made a reservation in advance for 10 people, I was expecting things to run a little more smoothly. When we first arrived, the experienced staff were attentive, patient and took time to explain the menu and offer recommendations, which we appreciated. 👏 Unfortunately, once the restaurant became fully occupied during the lunch rush, everything started to feel rather chaotic. 😅 Orders took longer, it became difficult to get the staff’s attention, and the overall organisation seemed to slip. It felt like the team was trying their best, but they were simply overwhelmed by the crowd. 💨 That said, I still enjoyed the meal and would consider coming back, especially for the Curry Fish Head and Beef Rendang. 😋 Hopefully, with a little better manpower planning and smoother coordination during peak periods, the dining experience could easily match the quality of the food. ❤️ Overall, a solid 4⭐ experience. Great Peranakan flavours, but service consistency during busy periods is an area that deserves some attention. A long time since we had really delicious peranakan food. 😋 Service was great, with multiple offerings of extra servings of fragrant rice. Advice was also rendered when we were ordering for a group of 4 pax. Every dish was cooked perfectly - prawns were firm but springy, sotong was tender with sauce fully absorbed, chap chye had a “home-cooked” feel to it, dessert had the right level of sweetness. Will definitely come back again to try other dishes! Coincidentally, it was my birthday month so joining as a member gave us a $10 discount too. 😌🙏🏻
