Food wise the quality is similar to the ones served in other branches. One big difference is here no aircon... Although there are quite a number of fans, but i am still sweating after drinking the pepper soup. Overall, i think the price here is a bit too high for bkt and even if i were to go to any Ng Ah Sio branch, i'll prefer one that has aircon as the peppery bkt soup adds to the heat.

This is quite a popular Bak Kut Teh’s brand 20 years ago. Nowadays, business is just so so. I was quite disappointed with the Premium Loin Ribs Soup as the meat is quite hard and the meat not tender at all. Bak Kut Teh Soup is just average. Homemade Ngoh Hiang tasted terrible. I don’t think I will eat this stall again.
View on GooglePretty decent bak kut teh soup. However i do not really fancy the pork trotters as i feel its not the soft braised version. The youtiao is not freshly fried as well. The main bkt soup and its white rice has excellent standard though.
View on GoogleWe received our food promptly, which made for a smooth and enjoyable start to the meal. The service was excellent, staff were attentive in refilling our soup without us even needing to ask, and they did so with genuine friendliness. Their warm and welcoming attitude really elevated the whole dining experience. Special shoutout to Harry and Juo Ling for their outstanding service and attentiveness, they truly made our visit even more memorable.
View on GoogleWhat I like most is NAS peppery soup, but during my visit on 23/4/26, I was disappointed to receive a bowl of very bitter and almost black soup. For many years, BKT soup cooked by NAS used to be light-coloured brown, flavourful and peppery, NEVER BITTER. It seems that JUMBO Group buys the same pepper from the same supplier for both Chui Huay Lim and Ng Ah SIO restaurants or maybe for ALL restaurants under JUMBO Group. The inferior quality of the pepper causes the soup to be bitter instead of flavourful peppery. I had to ask the service staff to drain off the whole bowl of soup, then add diluted soup twice. Otherwise the original soup cannot be swallowed even though I like bitterguord. The bitterness of the pepper made the soup undrinkable. NAS kept their same standard for many years before being merged under JUMBO Group. Once merged under JUMBO Group, more outlets were opened and the standard started to drop. But this year's standard was the worst. NAS is not worth going anymore! For a much higher price, if NAS still cuts corners to use inferior ingredients, then customers might as well turn to cheaper and better quality Bak Kut Teh Soup elsewhere.
