Visited for a casual meal + dessert; great atmosphere, thoughtful customisation, average main dish The mock chicken curry rice was decent but fairly standard—nothing special or memorable. Flavour was mild, portion reasonable, but it lacked depth and didn’t stand out much compared to typical curry rice stalls. It’s okay if you’re looking for a simple savoury bite, but not the highlight here. The taro mochi is served in a well-thought way, as the sugar syrup comes on the side, so you control how sweet it is. I chose not to add any syrup at all, and it was perfect: natural, gentle sweetness from real taro, no cloying aftertaste. The mochi itself is soft, tender and easy to chew, not tough or sticky. Taro paste is smooth and creamy with authentic flavour. Rose Pu’er Roasted Milk Tea is served in a small pot over a mini candle flame, so it stays hot the whole time you dine. Flavour is fragrant—floral rose meets earthy Pu’er—with a smooth roasted milk finish. Not overly sweet, and the heat keeps it comforting from start to end. Love the vibe. Calm, relaxing, with soft slow Chinese songs playing in the background—very soothing. They have both indoor and outdoor seating; indoor feels cosier, while outdoor space is quite limited and small. Good for quiet chats or slow dessert time. Great for dessert and drinks—customisable sweetness is a big plus. Main dish is just average, but the warm service, staying-hot tea and pleasant atmosphere make it worth visiting. Will return for desserts.
View on GoogleWas lightly disappointed by my trip to lantine. Had been looking forward it for a few months now, but something always cropped up last minute to stymie my plans. A lot of praise was heaped on the decor and vibe. It was alright, but it didn't seem that elegant to me overall. Detracted from the overall experience. Tried the strawberry souffle, osmanthus roasted milk tea, and taro mochi. The souffle was soft, and the wobble was mildly amusing. I can think of softer and more wobblies I'm more interested at looking at though. The strawberry jam was ordinary and the fresh fruit a little too sweet for the modern audience. The osmanthus roasted milk tea - don't know what I expected, but I certainly didn't expect actual milk being boiled, with a heavy leavening of osmanthus blossoms. Good, but I'd expected some form of tea instead? Last, the taro mochi was nice, but not spectacular. Liked it most of the lot though. Overall it was a fair experience. Not the premium one I'd hoped for when I'd naturally stumbled upon it. Decent experience, but pricey for the quality.
View on GoogleA cosy and charming spot with a unique tea concept and beautifully presented desserts. One of the highlights was the roasted milk tea, which is kept warm over a candle flame. The tea was incredibly smooth and fragrant, with a perfect balance of rich milkiness and aromatic tea notes. Every sip was comforting and left a lingering flavour that made me want more. The desserts were equally impressive. The mochi paired with creamy taro paste and chewy taro balls created a wonderful combination of textures and flavours. It was delicious, satisfying, and not overly sweet, making it easy to finish without feeling heavy. Definitely a place I would return to for a relaxing tea break.
View on GoogleA place for Chinese tea and desserts, but with a small twist of modern fusion. Their signatures are the roasted milk teas, it is brewed in a traditional clay pot. It has a gentle aroma and the balance is more of tea flavour over milk flavour, addition with a little floral taste. The tiramisu looked interesting, served in a traditional tea cup. Coffee flavours weren’t as strong, and their version is a sweeter and lighter version than the usual tiramisu. Mango pomelo sago was a standard one, just visually appealing as it is served in a cute small pot. Service was good and fast as well. All in all, great place for family and friend gatherings, we even saw a group of elderly friends waiting to have their afternoon tea time there, that’s when you know it is made for all age groups haha Follow us at @twospoonsonebite on Instagram for more honest reviews
View on GoogleSouffle pancakes are a must have and highly recommended. Tasty thick pancakes with generous servings, topped off with freshly brewed tea makes this place a fantastic place to return to hang out and enjoy good food with soothing ambience. I have ordered on food delivery platforms from this cafe and their Taro Mochi delivers a nice blend of taro, soft mochi and side serving - not too sweet yet very enjoyable as a dessert. Decorations make the cafe warm and inviting. Service staff were friendly and attentive, serving us water when we were having desserts. Side note that lunch is served as well with vegetarian options only.
