I haven’t eaten at NANA Thai since Golden Mile was en bloc, so I visited their Aperia outlet today. The Tom Yum Fish brought back memories of the Golden Mile days. It tasted exactly as I remembered, and the standard has not dropped. The Laab Isan Pork was a little disappointing, as the pork was overcooked and too tough. However, the level of spiciness was just right for me. The Grilled Pork Collar was excellent—tender, easy to chew, with a good balance of meat and fat. However, the accompanying sauce was not really to my liking. The portions were generous too. Overall, it’s still a good place to visit for authentic Thai food.
View on GooglePatronized this restaurant for the first time. The restaurant appeared to have just renovated as we could still sense the smell of glue. Overall neat and tidy. And spacious. For just two persons, we had definitely ordered too many dishes (5 items) as we wanted to try a few Thai dishes. I kept asking the waiter how big were each portion and he kept replying small portions. And when the food was served, their small portion was really quite big - enough for four pax. Maybe we are small eaters🤣 Though texture of braised pork was okay we felt that the dish was not flavorful enough. The hard boiled egg appeared to have been microwaved as the texture of the egg white was rough. Tom Yum seafood was just okay, it would be nicer if a little chilli padi was included in the soup. It wasn’t sour enough. Fish cake texture was good but lacked lime leaf flavor. First time we tried Pa Naeng Curry Beef. Unusual taste with tinge of coconut milk. Kind of sweetish, pretty nice. The “saving grace” was the Fiery Beanstalk fried with minced pork. Waiter actually said was like Sambal Long Bean, but far from it. No hint of Sambal but the dish was very nicely cooked. Some Chilli Padi would enhance the flavor though. The bill was $99.76 - big for two persons. But we actually wanted to try various dishes. What we ordered was sufficient for four diners really, so it wouldn’t be so expensive.
View on GoogleI recently stopped by Nana Original Thai Food and ordered the Thai Basil Stir-Fry. Overall, it was a satisfying meal and a good option if you're craving something flavourful and comforting. The dish arrived hot and fresh, with a generous portion that was enough to keep me full. The stir-fry had a nice balance of savoury and spicy flavours, while the basil added a fragrant aroma that tied everything together nicely. The seasoning was bold without being overwhelming, making it enjoyable from start to finish. The restaurant itself has a simple and casual setup, nothing particularly fancy, but comfortable enough for a quick lunch or dinner. Service was efficient, and my food arrived fairly quickly even though there were a number of diners around. The staff were friendly and kept things moving smoothly. One thing I liked was that the food tasted authentic and felt like a proper home-style Thai meal rather than something that had been overly adjusted for local tastes. The flavours were rich, the ingredients tasted fresh, and the portion size offered good value for money. If you're visiting Aperia Mall and looking for a straightforward Thai meal, Nana Original Thai Food is worth considering. The Thai Basil Stir-Fry was tasty, satisfying, and exactly the kind of dish I would happily order again when I'm in the mood for Thai food. Overall, a simple but enjoyable dining experience that delivered what I was looking for.
View on GoogleThis is one of my favourite Thai restaurants in town. The taste is amazing and authentic. I always come here if I miss Thai salad (they have plenty of options). I don’t understand why the Google Maps rating is so low; this restaurant is amazing if you love authentic Thai food.
View on GoogleWe recently dined here and found the overall experience to be just average. The food was generally okay, but unfortunately it did not meet our personal expectations in terms of taste and quality. One dish in particular was disappointing — the cashew nut chicken. Instead of proper chicken chunks, it seemed to be mostly chicken skin. We informed the waiter and the staff kindly offered to recook the dish, which we appreciated. However, the replacement serving was still the same, which was quite disappointing. Service was polite, but we do hope the kitchen can improve on consistency and ingredient quality. With some refinement, the dining experience could definitely be better.
