My go-to order is the egg mayo sandwich set with half-boiled eggs and teh o kosong peng. I love their egg mayo sandwich because the white bread lightly caramelises when toasted, giving it a slightly crisp, almost kaya-toast-like texture that I haven't really found elsewhere. It goes really well with the fresh tomatoes and lettuce. Their iced teh is also very thick and satisfying, and my husband says their kopi has the same strong, rich style. It’s usually quiet in the mornings, though weekday lunch can get quite crowded with limited seating. Another item I enjoy occasionally is the miso udon with La Teh chicken. I do wish there were more vegetables, but it’s comforting in a “healthy instant noodles” kind of way when you just want something warm and simple. My husband really enjoys their dry mee siam too! Not too oily and just enough to be tasty. Overall, a solid neighbourhood cafe in Kallang/CT Hub for kopi, teh, breakfast sets, egg mayo sandwiches, and soft-boiled eggs. Not a destination cafe, but definitely a reliable regular spot if you’re in the area. La Teh Cafe CT Hub has been my regular breakfast spot since 2023. I’ve seen the 2 female owners around who have always been friendly and welcoming! They used to have a cute illustration of them on the wall but it has been removed in recent years.

That afternoon, he walked into the food court at CT Hub, just like he always did. No one paid much attention to him. After all, during the lunch rush, everyone was busy solving the same problem finding something good to eat before heading back to work. He glanced around a few stalls before stopping in front of La teh. It was the kind of place that felt welcoming without trying too hard. No flashy decorations, no oversized signboards demanding attention. Just the comforting aroma of freshly cooked rice drifting through the air, inviting people to stay a little longer. After looking at the menu, he ordered a Teriyaki Chicken Bowl and a refreshing iced Teh. When the meal arrived, it looked simple enough. A bowl of teriyaki chicken over rice and a glass of iced tea. Nothing too different from the countless lunches being served around him. Then came the first bite. The sweet glaze of the teriyaki sauce blended perfectly with the lightly charred aroma of the chicken. Beneath it, the warm rice held everything together, carrying each flavour effortlessly. A sip of iced Teh followed, its cooling tea notes balancing the richness of the sauce with perfect timing. He didn’t say a word. He simply kept eating. Yet somehow, he seemed unusually focused, as if this wasn’t just another lunch, but an unexpected discovery hidden within an ordinary day. When he finished, he quietly stood up and left. No one knew whether he would return again. But at least on that day, La teh had gained one more witness to the fire of teriyaki. 🍗 Teriyaki Chicken Bowl + Iced Teh Follow my Instagram for more food finds and hidden gems around Singapore: @Johnnykuochung

So darn pissed off 😡 Forked out $3.20 for an Egg Waffle which looked nothing like how an Egg Waffle should be. The thing wasn't even properly toasted, came out looking so undone like an undercooked pancake. Even the average Plain Prata at any coffee shop in Singapore would trash this (sorry to say) junk.

1st Visit: I was there on Saturday 16 September 2023 with my nephew. We had lunch. He had Japanese Chicken Curry Rice and I had Grilled Salmon Salad. The meals tasted good coz the ingredients were fresh and the meals were freshly made. We enjoyed the meals. Will return another time for lunch again. 2nd Visit: I was there with my sisters on Thursday, 11 January 2024. All of us had Grilled Salmon Salad. We all love 💕 the lunch. It was so yummy. 3rd Visit: I was there with my ex university classmate. We had Grilled Salmon Salad. It was just so lovely. The greens were so fresh and the salmon was grilled well. We both love 💕 it.

The morning team always never prepare soft boiled eggs in time, not the first time already. I have seen the front counter staff saying the kitchen staff before, to prep beforehand. There’s this particular viet or myanmar lady, always miss preparing. Quite ridiculous having to wait 10-15 minutes just for eggs during rush hours in the morning…
