Food is good. Handwash area could be cleaner, declutteredand paper towels would be nice Food: Appam, malabar parottas, kadalai curry, stew, onion pakoras, pomfret and chicken roast curry were all good. They providefree pappadam to start with. Teas were good too. Only item we did not like was the toddy, a fermented slightly alcoholic bubbly drink. We wanted to try some, I imagined it would taste like makgeolii but it tasted of durian!! It was served in an earthen pot. We ordered two servings but we finished only half of one. The taste was too potent. But asked them to pack it and they bottled it for me to take home and use it in dosais or bread dough as a sourdough starter.
View on GoogleAuthentic Kerala Dining with Thoughtful, Family-Friendly Service! We had a fantastic family meal at Spice Junction and loved how rooted and traditional the whole experience felt. It’s a great spot to introduce kids to authentic flavors and cultural dining. The Food & Drinks We started with a fresh lime soda (sweet and salty) and a spiced buttermilk, both of which were wonderfully refreshing. For the mains, we ordered the Appam and Stew for the kids—the staff was kind enough to prepare it completely non-spicy, and our kids absolutely loved it. The highlight was the traditional Banana Leaf Meal. It was complete, deeply flavorful, and fulfilled every expectation—loaded with rice, ghee, dal, sambar, pickles, and finished off with a delicious payasam for dessert. The continuous refills were excellent, and I really appreciated that the attentive staff refilled items thoughtfully as we finished them, ensuring great hospitality without wasting food. The ambience felt deeply connected to tradition, which made the experience special. Even though the restaurant was steady, the well-spaced seating made it feel relaxed and uncrowded. The chairs were comfortable, and while we didn't end up using one, high chairs were readily available for families with younger kids. Verdict: An outstanding, warm place for a family outing. We will definitely be back, especially to try their seasonal Onam Sadya! Highly recommended.
View on GoogleFood was pathetic , for the price and portion. Ordered appam but they made before they made the other dishes so it was cold. Mutton curry, although it tasted nice, the mutton pieces were so tiny. It’s as if they use 2 or 3 pieces and cut it as small as possible. Chicken chilli was gross. The rest prawn fry was good! So was the mango lassi. And service was very nice, lovely crew! Do not sit near the entrance as the amount of mosquitoes was crazy. Overall, not worth the price and portion.
View on GoogleSpice junction an indian delight The ambience is fine dining the service was friendly and professional I taken the chicken roast bryani it was aromatic as it soon as it hit the table i could just smell this delightful bryani As soon as it hit my mouth it was a explosion of favours the spices the chef's hardwork making a masterpiece in the kitchen it was way above expectations There is one complaint the food took a really long time and the restaurant had only a few customers but the bryani was worth it as good things take time as well wating in the mean time they gave free papadam to eat
View on GoogleOur family of 3 went for Onam sadya meals. It was extremely crowded and we were seated outside. The meal was super delicious with different flavours teasing our taste buds. The waiters were attentive, and refilled our meals promptly with a smiling face. I was afraid that I might not get the waiters attention as we were seated outside but the waiters continously served us with a great attitude. The boss was also very attentive and tried her best to accommodate the crowd that was filling their restaurant. Thanks for the memorable meal and great service
