Authentic Nepalese Comfort Food in the Heart of Singapore If you’re looking for hearty, authentic Nepalese food in Singapore, Gurkha Palace is absolutely worth a visit. Tucked away along Chander Road, the restaurant has a cozy, family-run feel, with warm hospitality and interiors that celebrate Nepalese culture through traditional artwork, fabrics, and décor. The highlight of our meal was undoubtedly the Momo Soup. The dumplings were soft, freshly made, and generously filled, but what really elevated the dish was the broth. Rich, comforting, and packed with flavor, it felt like the perfect bowl of comfort food on a rainy evening. If you’re visiting for the first time, this is a must-order. We also tried the Chilli Chicken, which was excellent. The chicken was crispy on the outside while remaining juicy inside, coated in a tangy, slightly spicy sauce with onions and peppers. It struck a great balance between Indo-Chinese flavors and Nepalese influences, making it an easy crowd-pleaser. To accompany the meal, I had a beer, which paired surprisingly well with the bold flavors and spices. What stood out beyond the food was the atmosphere. The restaurant has a warm and intimate setting, with comfortable seating, Nepalese-inspired décor, and a relaxed vibe that makes you want to linger over your meal. The staff were friendly, attentive, and happy to guide us through the menu. Highlights: 🥟 Momo Soup is exceptional and highly recommended 🌶️ Chilli Chicken was flavorful, crispy, and perfectly cooked 🍺 Great selection of beers to pair with the food 😊 Friendly and welcoming service 🏔️ Authentic Nepalese atmosphere and décor 💰 Good value for the quality and portion sizes Singapore has no shortage of Indian and Asian restaurants, but Gurkha Palace offers something a little different. The food feels authentic, comforting, and made with care. Whether you’re already a fan of Nepalese cuisine or trying it for the first time, this is a place I’d happily return to. Must-order: Momo Soup. It’s the kind of dish you’ll still be thinking about the next day. 🥟🔥

My wife love thier North Indian foods especially her favorite is mutton vindaloo. Thier chicken fried is also awesome where I always like to have it spicy. Oh ya thier chicken pakora is delicious same goes with thier onion pakora. Thier naan portion is very big. The service here is very good especially the Young lady who serve us her name is Kanchan and she do a good job. Also chef gopal cook is yummy and awesome. View on GoogleIts really bad experience. They gave butter naan without butter when we asked they gave cold naan with butter. They took lot the time to do all these things till chicken became cold. Bz lot of people are there. They are unable to manage. Only review is nice otherwise damn bad staff and services. Same staff taking order and prepare food also.
View on GoogleA bit run down but the food is still very good. The lunch time today was busy usually it’s not so. But the front desk lady was very helpful and polite despite having her hands full. Owners do reward her for her positive attitude and cheerful disposition. She’s a real gem of an employee. We have been regulars for years and always find the quality of food consistent. A bit of hygiene and cleaning up will bring this place up back to its original glory.
