When our family of four stayed at Hotel Boss, our eldest son bought coconut juice at this shop located by the car drop-off area. Someone at our eldest son's workplace had found out he was going to Singapore this time, and apparently he had heard from that person about having drunk coconut juice in Singapore before. Hearing that, my wife suggested to our eldest son, "Since you've come all the way to Singapore, why not try it? It'll be something to talk about when you get back to work, too," and that's how it started. What he ordered was the kind of juice you drink by sticking a straw straight into the coconut itself. It's very tropical, and just the look of it gives you that vacation feeling. Now, as for the all-important taste... according to our eldest son, "it wasn't good." He took the coconut back to the hotel room as it was, and it seems our younger son also had a little share, but he too said "it wasn't good." Actually, my wife and I also had the experience of drinking from a coconut with a straw like that when we went to Bora Bora in Tahiti on our honeymoon. That time too, it was grassy-tasting and lukewarm, and honestly I don't remember it being very tasty. It seems nobody in our family finds coconut juice delicious (lol). That said, this isn't the shop's fault; it's simply a matter of our family's taste.
