Got a chance to come here after putting it on my list for quite sometime. Rustic place that’s selling the good old taste of the good old days. One needs to have patient as it takes time to prepare all these manually. Kaya toast is those that I have not had for quite a while in Singapore, thick and having that piece of butter overflow with a bite. Egg is well made too, except that the kopi is not that Gao “thick” for my personal taste. Overall, a great place for a traditional nanyang style breakfast.

I had the best kaya toast and kopi ever! I made the right choice coming here for my first ever kaya toast 😭🫶 The kaya toast was perfectly toasted and deliciously paired with the soft-boiled egg. I rekindled my love for soft-boiled egg with that meal. It tasted so amazing! The kopi was delicious too. I thought it was too strong because of how brown and thick it looked but it was just the right mix of coffee and condensed milk. I went here at 7am and there were no other customers than elderly locals. I am an english speaking filipino so I struggled communicating with the staff (an elderly man) who so kindly assisted me even if he spoke no english at all. There were no signs on how to order posted at the shop since the place was too old. Nevertheless, the experience made it so worth the trip! Would gladly visit again when I go back to Singapore.

A simple and satisfying local breakfast. The butter toast was perfectly crispy, with rich, fragrant butter that wasn’t too sweet. The freshly handmade potato curry puffs were delicious, and a cup of iced kopi made the perfect finish. The indoor area can be a little warm and stuffy, so I’d recommend sitting outside.

Stepping into Heap Seng Leong Coffee Shop felt like taking a journey back to my childhood. ❤️☕🥖 In today's world where many modern cafés and trendy coffee shops are popping up everywhere, places like Heap Seng Leong remind us of the beauty of old traditions and simple pleasures. I ordered the classic breakfast set with toasted bread, half-boiled eggs, and a cold drink. The toast was something special – crispy, fragrant, and prepared in that authentic old-school style that is becoming harder and harder to find nowadays. Every bite brought back wonderful memories of simpler times. Of course, there are many newer coffee shops with fancy menus and modern concepts, but they can never replace the nostalgia and charm of a traditional kopi tiam like this. The atmosphere, the heritage, and the familiar taste are what make this place truly special. We should continue supporting these traditional coffee shops and help preserve this important part of our local culture for future generations. Places like Heap Seng Leong are not just serving food and drinks – they are serving memories. Thank you for keeping the traditions alive and preserving a piece of history. Hopefully, I'll see you again soon, and may the nostalgic spirit continue for many years to come. ❤️☕🥚🥖 #HeapSengLeong #OldSchoolKopitiam #SingaporeHeritage #NostalgicBreakfast #TraditionalCoffeeShop #SupportLocal #ChildhoodMemories #KopiCulture #ToastAndEggs #SingaporeFoodie #HeritageDining #ClassicBreakfast

A local taxi driver suggested us here to try some classic Singaporean food. It’s an old school breakfast coffee shop and the owner was so sweet. Even though he knew we weren’t locals, he was still super patient and helpful while taking our order. Highly recommend trying the soft boiled eggs with sugar butter toast and a glass of iced kopi C. There’s also a small stall nearby selling curry puffs that were insanely good and surprisingly cheap.
