Soup Noodles, Bak Kut Teh with Rice, Bok Choy and vegetarian Char siew with Onn Vegetarian’s special sauce 😱🤯 Restaurant standard in a coffeeshop. Never seen before. All dishes served by Onn Vegetarian are cooked with love, paired with porcelain plates and leave your taste buds dancing in joy after 😋 Located near Kallang MRT, quick 5-10 minutes, and you will be there! Be there early as once the food is all sold, they will close. (Thats how delicious their food is, gone in less than half a day 🤩)
View on GoogleI've been back several times since my first visit, and every meal has been consistently good. In fact, the food is so inviting when it arrives that I always end up digging in straight away and only remember afterwards that I forgot to take photos! What I particularly enjoy is the subtle peppery spice that runs through many of their dishes. It's not overpowering, but adds a lovely depth of flavour that complements the ingredients beautifully and goes especially well with their brown rice. Their menu for the day and operating updates are posted on their Facebook page rather than on Google Maps, so it's worth checking there before making a trip. Also be prepared to wait for your food during busy hours… Delicious, wholesome vegetarian food that's worth returning for again and again.
View on GoogleServes delicious vegan-friendly Chinese/Asian food without alliums. I tried the vegetarian Char Siew Wanton Noodle ($6) and it was really flavourful and satisfying, definitely worth the $6 for the quality and taste. The friendly staff even brought the food to my table instead of me having to collect it myself. It reminded me of the good old days at hawker centres and local coffeeshops — so nostalgic and heartwarming.
View on GoogleI’ve visited this coffee shop a few times to accompany a vegetarian friend for lunch. I seriously think the food is over-rated. While the ingredients are fresh, the taste is average and passable. Be prepared to wait about 20 to 30 minutes for your food. Once, we waited approximately 40 minutes because they were handling a high volume of orders. Unfortunately, I noticed that a couple of diners who arrived after us and ordered later were served first, reflecting inconsistent service, which is less than desirable. If you arrive later in the day, some popular dishes may already be sold out. The coffee shop is usually crowded, and you may need to share a table with other diners.
View on Googleordered 3 dishes all very nice. $34 total with 3 brown rice. favourite was bitter gourd fish slice, the fish slice texture very good. next is Assam fish, the sourness and spicy is just nice. the spinach with mushrooms is actually quite good, is just that the taste is like can be found in many standard zi chat. waiting time is quite long even if reach 15min before lunchtime. maybe 20++ min. but if chit chat with friends is ok.
