⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Today I came to Boon Tong Kee to try their famous boiled chicken rice. There was a queue when we arrived, and we waited around 10 minutes before getting a table. While waiting, they gave us the menu and order list, so we could decide what to order. We came by MRT, which was quite convenient. After we were seated, the food came quite quickly. We ordered the sweet and sour fish, signature boiled chicken, thick soup with fish maw, blanched kailan with oyster sauce, stewed pork belly with Mui Choy and fried prawns. The food was served fresh and hot. The signature boiled chicken was really good — tender, sweet, tasty and full of flavour. The other dishes were also nice and went well with the meal. The staff were courteous and professional, and the service was quite fast despite the queue. Overall, we had a good dining experience here. It’s suitable for couples, families or even a big group. I would recommend giving Boon Tong Kee a try if you’re looking for a good Chinese restaurant with tasty food. 👍
View on GoogleEverything was properly executed and price is also reasonable for a sit down restaurant with AC and table service. The kampung chicken was tender and had jelly. Rice was decently fragrant and texture was good. Chicken feet is a must order if you are willing to try. The sauce is not my favourite (reminded me of Cantonese Chee Cheong fun) but I can see why others might like it. I also wished they use the right type of coriander. Their chilli is very average but you can make it better by adding minced ginger which they do provide.
View on GoogleBeen here several times and the food has never disappointed us. The chicken rice is 100% on point, with juicy and tender chicken, a layer of jelly and delectable taste. The sauces are great, the rice is great. A few more standout dishes are their sambal kangkong and crispy beancurd.
View on GoogleSimple meal on my own, but still very satisfying. The steamed chicken consistently maintains a standard that I honestly can’t find elsewhere. Tender, flavorful, and just right. The fried tofu was also really delicious, a great side to complete the meal. Overall, it’s a bit pricier compared to other chicken rice stalls, but definitely worth it for the quality.
View on GoogleBoon Tong Kee Chicken Rice: Delicious and Fun, Worth Revisiting! Today we visited Boon Tong Kee, Singapore's top-ranked Hainanese Chicken Rice restaurant. We tried several recommended dishes, and overall, we give this place a 4-star rating and will definitely recommend it to our friends! Dish Highlights: Thick Cut Tender Pork Liver: The pork liver was indeed thicker than usual and stir-fried to perfection, making it incredibly tender. The sauce was rich and flavorful, tasting as if it had been deep-fried and then marinated. It's a uniquely textured and well-seasoned pork liver dish. Stir-fried Bean Sprouts with Silver Dragon Fish: This dish was creative, featuring the root of yellow bean sprouts combined with fried fish skin. The fish skin was crispy, but the most pleasant surprise was the bean sprouts themselves—juicy and crunchy. I (personally) would rate this dish 3.5 stars, while my husband, who loved the novel texture of the fish skin, gave it 4.2 stars. Delicious Chicken: Although the portion size was smaller than what the salesperson suggested, which disappointed my husband (he only rated it 2 stars), the chicken itself was truly excellent. Both the skin and the meat were incredibly tender. I personally enjoyed it very much and would give it 4 stars. Service Experience: The service was very prompt, and the staff members were all humorous and engaging. However, a small suggestion: it seemed that the staff occasionally made mistakes when taking orders from elderly customers. This is something that could be improved upon. Conclusion: Boon Tong Kee Chicken Rice offers unique and delightful dishes with a pleasant service experience. Despite a minor issue with the chicken portion, the overall dining experience was fantastic and makes it a restaurant worth visiting again. We look forward to bringing our friends here next time!
