People go for morning hiking in the nature, I went for a “hike” in Ubi industrial park. My legs brought me to Mei Mei Roast (妹妹李记烧腊) a popular, highly-regarded charcoal-roasted meat stall operated by the younger sister of the original Kay Lee Roast Meat founder. Best thing I hear this morning, 老板娘 call me Ah Boy 🥰. There were many mixed reviews about the roasts but I find their roasts quite amazing, especially the char siew. had the char siu rice ($5). the texture is really good, being really fatty with crispy fat parts as well. a bit sweet for me but the roasted/burnt taste really elevates the flavor and makes a variety of taste and textures. the place is more modern looking, making it a nice place to be when surrounded by the rest of the buildings here

Have been coming to mei mei roast duck for years, the duck is moist and fragrant with crispy skin, the sauce is umami matches perfectly to the duck and rice. To me is the best roast duck, definitely must try. I also like the Char siew which is the sweeter kind and roast pork are good as well. Soups are also available 👍🥰

Ubi may be known for its industries, but it's also a foodie paradise. One such gem is this roasted meat food stall. In particular, I like their char siew for that irresistible smoky char. The meat is incredibly tender and glazed with a sweet honey sauce. Like any true char siew lover, I always ask for the fatty pieces. The roasted duck drumstick here is also a delight – pure indulgence! Update: This is my goto place for their char siew. There are so many food gems in this area, and this is definitely one.

Update 9 July The place has been renovated. The roast meat are still all time favourites! Amazing roast pork crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside. The way the duck is roasted , the taste is so different from other stalls. Really amazing how she can do it all by herself. You cannot go wrong at all with food from this stall. Always a joy to eat here all the time. It's hard to choose other foods due to good flavours from here.
