Tung Lol is a nice place to go for their Dim Sum brunch or seafood. My family has been there many times at this PLQ outlet as we live nearby. We had 2 recent visits - 1x for dim sum and 1x for Father’s Day lunch. Food standard is decent and I would recommend the following: 1. Dim Sum spread and variety is quite decent. They have dim sum buffet option there but we opted for Ala cart instead. Their porridge, siew mai and har gow are great options! 2. Their Irish roast duck is pretty decent and $44 for half duck is quite value for money imo. 3. Steamed fish is great. On several occasions I ordered their steamed fish and we love it. It’s fresh and is steamed perfectly and it’s not over cooked Service is acceptable but sometimes on a weekend when it’s crowded, may need to wait a while for their service. They collaborate with citibank so citi cardholders can get $6 off for every $60 spend on food items.
View on GoogleWe came here for an ala carte buffet lunch for my mother’s birthday and had a great time. The food is amazing and value for money when we got the deluxe menu with crab. The best part to mention is that we had brought a cake and the staff very nicely served it out in their own little cake decoration. Very sweet of them to do this extra service. My mum is very very happy about this. So thank you to Xiao Dan and her team for this.
View on GoogleFood was generally good and we enjoyed most of the dishes we tried. 👍🏻 The main downside was the waiting time. Some dishes took quite a while to arrive, and a few never came at all. After waiting for some time, we eventually gave up on those orders and just moved on to ordering other dishes instead. Service was also a little slow, although it was understandable as the dinner crowd had started coming in. Because so much of our buffet time was spent waiting for food, it did feel like we didn’t get to fully enjoy the allocated dining time. Thankfully, the staff were understanding and didn’t rush us or ask us to leave when our buffet time was up, which we appreciated. Overall, the food itself was good and the experience could have been much better if the dishes were served more promptly and orders were properly tracked. Wouldn’t mind coming back again and hopefully having a smoother experience next time.
View on GoogleBooking a table online was seamless, and I was promptly escorted in on a weekend. Our waitress, older in age, was attentive and kind. She was constantly checking in and ensuring that we didn’t double-order. The food took a while to arrive, which was a bit frustrating. However, when I attempted to cancel an order, the waitress explained that they bulk-cook their dishes. Hence, there was a longer waiting time for most food. The food was okay, but the price and limited time might not justify the value. It tasted ordinary, so expect to eat in quantity rather than quality. It was similar to other tze char stores, except for the fresher ingredients (side note: the beef was very gamey, didn’t touch the dish after 1 bite). Overall, its a good place for families (big groups) to gather. However, do not expect food to be served at a fast pace due to their workflow of bulk cooking. You may feel rushed to finish your food at the end as you can’t order after the last ordering of seating time. Additionally, feels like most of the staff are overworked? They seem rather frustrated when serving. Spotted many potential safety hazard during the session. For example, this waiter did not watch his way, and almost bumped into the older waitress serving us. Could have spilled the food onto others.
View on GoogleI really enjoyed my meal at TungLok Seafood, PLQ. The food was nicely cooked, and the dishes we ordered felt well put together without being overdone. I especially liked how the tea and the seafood dishes complemented the table so well. It was a satisfying experience overall, and I’d be happy to come back.
