Very simple but informative gallery about the illustrious history of Geylang Serai, a popular Malay-majority area in Singapore and feels like in Malaysia.....plus point is it's free entry.....

Came for a workshop (get tickets from Peatix) on Threads. Facilitators from SeniSini demonstrated the joy & benefits of mending/up cycling through emboidery stiches and the creation of handmade block printing on fabric. They even carried out research in the surrounding Geylang area to hunt down resources we could approach (sale of excess fabrics, tailors who can alter/mend/recreate fashions) as well handmade songket.

Compact and well curated gallery on the history of Geylang Serai (which can translate as Lemongrass Factory) , its people and the culture, from entertainment to haj etc. Lovely place to spend up to 45mins here. Its free to visit too.

First time visit today to collect the NHB rabbit series of red packet for the coming CNY. Place is very new, very well kept, very clean and I really wouldn’t mind spending an entire afternoon there reading a book and listening to background classical music. Sadly, there are no seats and table as well as background music. But it’s ok, it’s supposed to be a museum of sorts, not a cafe Centre sitter has a lunch time break of 1200-1400hrs. There’s plenty of car park lots in the basement car park and I think EV chargers will be available very soon! Will definitely visit again!
