Usually restaurants that offer ‘a bit of everything’ are not usually as good as ones that specialise in a specific style. Admittedly I didn’t try a lot of things but the one thing I did try was very decent and fairly priced. I tried the lamb murtabak as it was highlighted as a specialty dish. It was quite large, for a lunch it was enough to fill you up. The lamb was not as soft as I would have liked, but it was plentiful. The egg in the dough was also light and fluffy so it was a nice combination. The curry gravy with it was rich and tasty and helped moisten every mouthful. The teh tarik with the meal was also nice and sweet and the perfect accompaniment. Next time I might try a few more dishes to compare, but for what it was, this was good value for a little over ten bucks.

Great food. Much like other open restaurants that are a fixture in Singapore, Alwadi offers a smorgasbord of options that are sure to please. Very reasonable prices, lively staff and a great place to catch a great meal. Gluten Free options are available, just ask the counter staff and use your best judgement.
