Visiting for the nostalgia, 40 years of history. As it shutters its doors today. Reviews are of my own, without any reference to anyone else’s experience. Had the tau huey which was silky smooth one of the better ones out there. Didn’t manage to try the youtiao, spring onion pancake indeed was a little hard as if it was refried a few times. Mee sua was great. Orhlua had an orangey sauce that needs some getting used to, it wasn’t bad tho. Tea eggs were fragrant, hope more can be done to preserve heritage eateries.

Came by for early lunch. Walk into this shop which resembles a popular stall in Taiwan. Ordered a Lu Rou fan with bowl of soya bean milk. I can't remember how was this served in Taiwan. The pork is cut up into tiny pieces, doused over the rice with half an egg and preserved veg. Couldn't make out much taste from the pork nor the gravy.

Saw many recent review with 1 star and decided to try it out how bad it is for the food. The food taste pretty bad especially the siew mai. Even chili sauce also cannot save it. Most of the food just cannot make it. The fried prawn dumpling filling is nice, but unfortunately the skin over fried. Not recommended.

Decided to try out this shop since doing a round for Geylang area. The Taiwan noodle was not to my liking as it served slightly warm and for a starchy dish, it affected the appetite. Few pieces of intestines in it and considered expensive. The fried meat dumplings were deep fried to the extent inside was dried. Soy bean drink was the only one I liked as well as the spicy chili. I believe the standard had dropped since I knew the shop.

Got to know this place from a friend who ate since he's young. But the standards have dropped. Still not a bad experience. Food to order: *Soya milk (add sugar on your own) Fresh and good. *You Tiao Mochi was good but too oily. *Mee sua not too bad but not oysters, it's big intestines. There's salty bean curd, I personally still prefer sweet ones cos it's minced meat in it. The carrot cake wrap w egg wasn't too bad but too oily too. The crepe wrap w floss starch was really thick. Not recommended for that. Otherwise the rest are still acceptable.
