Finally got to tried the prawn noodles at this stall after hearing so many good reviews about it. There was a short queue during weekday lunch but it moves quite fast. I tried the soup version and it was one of the stronger tastes in prawn soup that I had. The soup had depth and umami flavored. It came with 2 prawns that were halved. Prawns were fresh. The only this is that the noodles portion was on the smaller side.
View on GoogleWhitley Road Big Prawn Noodle at Old Airport Road Food Centre is one of the most popular stalls for prawn noodle enthusiasts, drawing steady queues throughout the day. The highlight of their offering is undoubtedly the broth, which is simmered for hours with prawn heads, shells, and pork bones to achieve a robust, full-bodied flavour. It carries a wonderful balance of savoury depth and natural sweetness from the seafood, making each sip both comforting and addictive. The large prawns are impressively fresh, firm, and juicy, adding substance and value to the bowl. Customers can opt for either the soup or dry version. The soup version shines with its steaming hot, aromatic broth, while the dry version is tossed in a rich mix of chilli paste, lard, and seasoning, creating an umami-packed combination with a spicy kick. The noodles, whether yellow noodles or bee hoon, are cooked just right and absorb the flavours beautifully. Topped with slices of pork, bean sprouts, and fried shallots, the bowl feels complete and satisfying. Portions are generous, and prices remain reasonable given the quality of ingredients. Whitley Road Big Prawn Noodle is a true hawker classic, offering a hearty and flavourful experience that keeps diners returning.
View on GoogleThree in one prawn noddle : 6/10 rating Pig Liver noddle : 6.5/10 rating Prawn noddle soup : 7/10 rating Pig’s tail noddle soup : 5/10 rating This is quite a popular big prawn noddle stall in old airport food center. The prawn is quite fresh. Soup taste is okay. But the liver and pig tail are a bit hard. Also the homemade chilly tasted weird and also the noddle mixed with chilly very dry. Personally I think there are very other prawn noddle stalls that tasted much better. Also the young man that taking orders a bit disorganized.

View on GoogleSUPER Delicious. The soup was very rich, generous portion of ingredient and soup, bosses were very friendly too, price is affordable and reasonable. The prawn were fresh and pork was tender. BEST was the soup, I drank finish and even had a second round of serving as it was too goodddd! A lot of people have mentioned that the soup is too salty, but I personally find it just right. If you’re having the dry noodles with the soup on the side, it may taste a little salty. However, for the prawn noodle soup, the broth gets diluted when mixed with the noodles and ingredients, so I think the slightly stronger seasoning is necessary. Anyways would travel down to eat this prawn noodle again!! WOULD RECOMMEND for prawn noodles loversss!!! 🦐
