We came here for our Mother’s Day dinner and had a wonderful experience. There was an excellent promotion on the crab dishes — 1-for-1 at $88 for either the chilli crab or black pepper crab — and both were absolutely delicious. Every dish we ordered was flavourful and well prepared. The KL signature vegetables, featuring kailan and broccoli with seafood, were especially memorable and packed with flavour. The “KFG” fried garlic chicken was crispy, aromatic, and very satisfying. We also enjoyed the curry fish, which came with a rich, thick, and fragrant gravy that paired perfectly with the dish. The satay was another highlight, tender, smoky, and served piping hot with a tasty peanut gravy that complemented the skewers beautifully. What made the dining experience even better was the warm hospitality from the owners, who previously ran DC Café at MBS. They remain incredibly friendly, attentive, and customer-oriented, making guests feel truly welcomed. We also appreciated the free parking, which made the visit even more convenient. Another huge plus was that the restaurant is pet-friendly, so we were able to bring our dog along and enjoy the evening together as a family. To top it all off, they even treated us to complimentary dessert at the end of the meal, which was a lovely touch. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience with delicious food, generous portions, excellent service, and a very welcoming atmosphere. We will definitely be back again.
View on GoogleI had the fish head curry here, and it was absolutely delicious! The curry was rich, creamy, and full of flavor with just the right level of spice. The fish head was fresh, tender, and cooked perfectly. The vegetables soaked up the curry beautifully, making every bite enjoyable. The portion was generous, and the service was friendly and attentive. If you’re a fan of fish head curry, this place is definitely worth a visit. Highly recommended!
View on GoogleToto seafood is one of our go-to tze char restaurants in Singapore. They have outdoor pet friendly seating that’s well ventilated. The staff were very friendly and the food arrived surprisingly fast. Every dish was delicious, but the satay, fried baby squid and yam paste really stood out. Bonus point for the free flow of white rice which makes the meal even more satisfying! Side note: The lala soup was delicious and the lala were very fresh. It would be better if it were served in a pot that retains heat as it cooled down very quickly.
View on GoogleI was quite impressed with the pepper crab dish at this restaurant. The staff were quick in their service and very friendly. The flavors suit Asian tastes very well. The restaurant gets quite busy in the evening, with many tour groups dining here. This is definitely another good dining option to consider when visiting this country.
View on GoogleWe've seen this place at the corner of the crossroads and it's the first time I visited. Restaurant has a very homely feel with its resident doggy who's very well-behaved. Food-wise: Whilst I liked the chilli crab sauce, I was a little disappointed that 1 of the crabs wasn't good (the meat was scattered and mushy). The fish hotpot was exceptionally good with ample fish meat and its light broth. They gave us complimentary abalone too. I liked the texture of the seafood pancake which was crispy on the outside and bouncy inside. Totally loved the prawn paste chicken wings which had light, crunchy texture and is well-seasoned. The sambal kangkong was nice with its spiciness. Mala clams were just ok - I didn't quite like the gooey sauce. We had also ordered a venison dish which didn't get served but since the portions of the other dishes were ample, we didn't remind them. Dessert was a jelly which had aromatic lime and a strong pandan taste. Disclaimer: I didn't do the ordering so I'm not sure of the dishes' names. As the restaurant is pet-friendly, there were occasional bouts of barking from patrons' pet, but otherwise the noise level is good for conversations.
