The traditional Cantonese Zi Char offerings at Sik Bao Sin are surprisingly delicious and consistently hit the mark. It is entirely clear why they have comfortably maintained their spot on the Michelin Bib Gourmand list for consecutive years. Because they focus on a hyper-curated, tight menu featuring a handful of legendary signature items that virtually every table orders, the kitchen operates like clockwork, and the service is extremely quick. We especially loved their signature tofu prawns bathed in that silky egg gravy, the kailan beef packed with an incredible punch of wok hei, and the deeply comforting steamed pork with salted fish. Pairing these intensely flavorful dishes with a hot bowl of white rice makes for an absolutely outstanding meal. However, the air-conditioned dining space is relatively limited and fills up fast. It is highly recommended to gather a group to share more dishes, and either make a reservation or arrive well before the opening rush to secure a seat without a long wait.

I highly recommend the Tofu Prawn dish as it was exceptional, the sauce was incredibly appetising and just the kind that keeps you going back for more and pairs perfectly with rice. The tofu itself was super soft and silky, and the prawns were large, fresh and had a great texture - firm and slightly bouncy. The Steam Pork with Salted Fish was amazing. The minced meat had a great bite and was full of flavour. The salted fish added strong umami richness to the dish, but without overpowering the natural taste of the meat. Overall, it was a very enjoyable meal with comforting dishes done remarkably well. This is my go-to spot to bring family and friends or even to indulge by myself. I am definitely coming back to try more dishes!

Visited with a friend and we ordered a few dishes. The highlight was the steamed fish head. Beautifully cooked and very tasty. The sweet and sour pork and kailan was very good. At this restaurant one needs to be patient. The dishes are slow in coming out and it comes out in batches. That is, you see several serves of the same dish come out at the same time.

Had a wonderful lunch with my old buddy and his wife. This place had yearly Michelin awards. Most customers were like us seniors. Hardly see youngsters eating here. Anyway it was a happy treat from my buddy. Overall the dishes were good but slightly on the salty side. What stood out for us was the steam minced pork meat with salted fish. Another of their signature was the song fish head which was fresh and fleshy. Lots of pork lard but unhealthily tasty. 21.04.2026

First time patronise this homely eating house, the lady boss and staff were friendly. The menu is simple and the dishes we ordered were well executed and served piping hot. We had black chicken soup, sweet and sour pork, steamed pork salted fish and stir-fried kailan. All dishes shone but the star dish would be black chicken herbal soup. Very hearty and black chicken was tender. Sweet and sour pork was meaty and ratio of batter to meat was just right. Definitely so much better than most zi char stalls we had. Stir-fried kailan was beyond my expectations because this type of vegetable is usually bitter but this restaurant did justice to the vegetables. Very crisp and wasn't bitter at all. The steamed pork salted fish was cooked to perfection and not overly salty. We will definitely go back to try other dishes! Kudos!
