Good dim sum place. Went quite early for dinner so it was not too crowded. The Siew Mai was really dense and packed with the meat, very nice. The Xiao long Bao had good flavour but the flour was a bit thicker than what I’m used to, but still nice. The fried rice came with a very generous portion of the pork. And the fried yam balls were nice and tasty. Would recommend, the only downside is that the parking here is very limited along the road leading up to it.

It’s only this year that I stepped into this eatery even though this has been around for many years. This is in Geylang where you find good food amidst the constant traffic and action happening in every corner. The food is good and quality consistent with what they have been highly rated for years ago, according to my bf. Do order the Hor Fun — the dark gravy of black bean paste and soy-sauce thickened with cornstarch to give the gooey texture coating the horfun was cooked with good wokhei that we slurped up every strand of horfun and the fresh seafood of prawns and squid rings and fish slices. There is a subtle hint of chili to give that bit of spice. Char Siew Bao arrived on good size but I found the filling a tad little and not as moist although the meat was tender. The carrot cake had chopped diced Taiwanese sausage within. This was pan fried so well: crispy surface encasing soft moist yet not oily “white carrot”. Somehow I don’t get that oily aftertaste. The “liusar” bao adds a sweet end to our meal. I should hv told them to serve this later as dessert when if eaten hot, it wld hv been more fluffy and filling more like that of molten larva. I didn’t get that thirsty experience which might just mean that little or no added MSG was made with the foods. So if I were to be seen in Geylang, it is quite likely that I would be eating here again. The big grouse which could be improved is to add more or brighter lighting leading to the toilets found by walking down a flight of stairs.

The DimSum and the beef horfun were excellent. The DimSum we ordered were fresh and excellent in flavour. Nice surprise that they served good horfun packed with umami & wok hei. My kids and I truly enjoyed our dinner with the open space area overlooking the roadside. A place to come for comfort Dimsum & zhi char food at anytime.

Great dim sum. Especially enjoyed the fried carrot cake and siew mai. Pay after you make your orders. They accept paynow. Nearby roadside parking is a nightmare.
