This nasi biryani is a little expensive from your normal Indian biryani, but is it worth the price? The answer is yes, if you can accept some differences. For one, if served this plate of food, you might not be able to tell that it was made by an eldery chinese couple, until you tasted the curry vegetables. Yes. It taste like your cai peng curry vegetable. What I had was the mutton biryani with curry vegetable as an add on. The mutton tasted like your usual indian mutton rendang, and was rather tender. Another difference worth noting is the rice. The indians like to add a whole truck load of spice in their biryani, and you might bite into spices while consuming their biryani, but you wont find it here. This doesnt mean that it is not good. Just different. Worth a try. The aysm masak merah, as always, meat was tender. Chicken was pretty well done, and the gravy was always pretty savoury. The ayam rendang biryani, might be well worth your money. After adding a vegetable(lady finger), my food came up to a cost of $5.80. The chicken thigh albeit small, was tender. The lady finger, well tasted like lady finger which is a good thing. The pickled cucumber was pretty well done on all visits. I do feel that the ayam biryani gave you more bang for your buck. This biryani, is definitely above average.

Saw good reviews for this place and gave the chicken briyani a try. Added fried broccoli. The chicken is very tender and the meat drop off the bone easily. The curry has strong taste of spices which some may not like. The broccoli is nicely cooked but lacks taste. The briyani basmati rice is perfectly cooked. Service is good.

Hands down one of the best Biryanis in Singapore! Came to [Mama Recipe Biryani ] and ended up ordering both the Chicken and Mutton Biryani-zero regrets! • Mutton Biryani: The highlight for me. The mutton was cooked to perfection-incredibly tender, melt-in-your-mouth soft, and packed with deep, rich flavors without any strong gamey taste. • Chicken Biryani: Super flavorful with a nice crispy exterior, while the inside stayed amazingly juicy, tender, and rich in spices. • The Rice: Long-grain basmati that is light, fluffy, and aromatic without being overly greasy. Verdict: Generous portions, fantastic flavors, and amazing value for money. A absolute 10/10 must-visit spot for biryani lovers!

⭐️ Mama Recipe Biryani Rice: The Mutton That Conquered a Skeptic! 🌶️🍚 The Quest for Mutton Biryani Perfection In a hawker centre famed for its diverse and competitive food landscape, Mama Recipe Biryani Rice stands out by delivering a truly comforting and quality plate of Biryani. I came here specifically for the Mutton Set (Kambing), which, for someone with a very sensitive palate towards the gamey flavour of mutton, is usually a risky proposition. I'm thrilled to report that this stall has completely changed my perception. The Mutton Biryani here is a revelation, especially for those who typically avoid it. The Star: Mutton Set with Zero Gamy Taste The most impressive aspect of this dish, and the one that earns my highest recommendation, is the Mutton (Kambing) itself. The pieces were large, tender, and had been braised to a point of sheer, melt-in-your-mouth perfection. More importantly, they were completely devoid of that strong, musky, or 'gamey' aftertaste that often plagues mutton dishes. This speaks volumes about the quality of the cut and, more crucially, the skill and care in the preparation and marination. The spices—a complex layering of aromatic components—had permeated the meat beautifully, leaving behind a rich, warm, and deeply savory flavour without being overly oily or heavy. The Experience: Quick Service and Cheerful Smiles. Even though there was a noticeable queue, don't let it deter you! The waiting time was surprisingly short thanks to their efficient system. And the experience was made even better by the positive and cheerful persona of the man serving. His warm, helpful attitude was a fantastic added bonus that brightened the entire interaction. Good food served with a genuine smile makes all the difference! The Essential Sides: Rice and Brinjal The accompanying Basmati Rice was fluffy, fragrant, and cooked just right—each grain distinct and lightly stained a beautiful hue by the spices. I also opted for the Brinjal (Eggplant) Add-on, and I cannot stress enough how essential this addition is! The brinjal pieces were soft, slightly caramelized, and steeped in a sweet-spicy masala that cut through the richness of the mutton. It provided a wonderful, soft texture contrast and a tangy counterpoint that elevated the entire dish from good to great. The Verdict: A Must-Try for Mutton Skeptics Mama Recipe delivers a complete package: phenomenal food, great service, and efficient operations. For those sensitive to the gamey taste of mutton, consider this your green light: You must try Mama Recipe's Mutton Biryani. It’s flavorful, tender, and an absolute delight. In a location where the competition is fierce, this nasi briyani is truly a breath of fresh air from the fiercely competitive nasi briyani market. Highly Recommended!
