Honestly disappointed as the standards do not live up to the duration of the queue. We were almost in the queue for 40minutes with only 5-6 customers in front of us. It was our first time trying out and thought it must be super delicious but was left surprisingly disappointed. No wok hey at all, overly salty with the dark sauce, and uneven frying of the Kueh teow and noodles. Auntie fries them by the plate sure, but the standards are honestly those of a regular food court. No need waste time to queue and there is no hype about this at all. It comes in 3 sizes and prices are transparent to the amount of ingredients you get - that’s probably the only plus about this shop.

1. $4.50/$5.50/$6.50 option 2. Noodles were not the super wet type and had the wok hei. Generous 1 piece of large size prawn. Whole piece. For the $5.50 plate. 3. She cooks by per plate so it takes a while but worth it.

My brother reported that the successor to the old master who retired due to ill health earlier does a good job. Gentle but prominent wok breath, smooth, flavorful and layered. As always more savory than sweet. Even better news, her father is well and enjoying his retirement.

The lady that made the noodles was nice but she forgot my pork lard. Wish she didn’t as I waited 20 mins in line and really wanted my noodles to be coated with that delicious lard. Had decent wok hei but the flavour was rather lacking. $1.80 to add a prawn also seemed rather expensive.

Consistently good CKT. The food is prepared plate by plate so be prepared to wait a little in line. And just like Lao Fu Zi nearby, this style of CKT is the hot wok tossed discrete style one (and not the creamy version). Good wok hei, not overly seasoned and nice flavors of all the ingredients. The little bit of garlic chives added right at the end adds a really nice fragrant touch. I especially like the fact that you can "customize" your meal with extra ingredients to your liking. Try an extra few servings of cockles and lard for a meal of champions!
