To be honest, I hate to go to this hawker centre mainly because either you got to be really lucky or super patient, super patient to wait for a carpark lot! So, star deducted... But once that is done, head straight to Albert Street Prawn Noodle (亚峇街虾面) stall. Got to be honest again... The first sip of the soup didn't really "wow!" me as I thought it was salty and has a very fishy kind of aroma (it's prawn noodle stupid! 😅) But as I ate more, I actually thought because of the 2 stronger flavours, the soup was more pronounced in the prawn flavour make the soup stand out more as a prawn soup. I actually started to enjoy it. Another thing I want to add is that the 大姐 (big sister - an address) manning the stall is very friendly and helpful making sure that I got all I needed like chopsticks, chilli powder, etc., before I walked off. Good food, good attitude! Unfortunately, atmosphere is a 2-star because it is so hot and crowded (maybe not a bad things because this means this hawker centre has lots of good food!) The operator should think of other ways to cool down this hawker centre even though they have already installed lots of big, huge ceiling fans - still not enough circulation

Pig Tail & Intestine Noddle Soup : 7/10 rating Intestine Prawn Dry Noddle : 6.5/10 rating Pig Tail Prawn Dry Noddle : 6/10 rating This Albert Street Prawn Noddle is located at famous Old Airport Road Food Center. The Pig Tail & Intestine are quite soft and tasty. The Prawn Soup taste is alright. The homemade chilly is quite special but they should put more mixed chilly sauce as I think the noddle a bit too dry. Also I think their prawns a bit overcooked and also not that fresh …

The prawns were not fresh and were mushy. fell apart even before i put it in my mouth. The dry noodles had a smelly sour smell that you usually get if you leave noodles out for long but store owner claimed it was normal and was just the vinegar. But vinegar and spoilt sour smell is very distinctly different. the only thing ok was the pork. Owner kindly made me a new bowl of noodle that did not have the previously sour smell at all but it just tasted plain with no umami. Will not come back again

The very important part of prawn noodle were always its soup and chilli, tried the soup one(the previous time I ate was very long ago, so give it a try again), regretted miserably. Ordered no.1;soup, soup was extremely sweet, probably overload with rocksugar, nothing umami, prawn flavour was very minimal or non existent though the colour looks flavourful. Was lucky, I only ordered the small portion. Next, will try Whitley Road Prawn noodle, queue was definitely longer as compared to Albert st with no queue at all.

Prawns were mushy and grainy (not fresh) and disintegrated apart easily – how can you serve this? Service was extremely slow and inefficient, it’s not a long queue but it’s a slow queue. Only reason I ate here was because Kallang Cantonese was not open today.
