Had the Rougamo yesterday- incredibly delicious and full of flavor. The taste was so satisfying that I can’t stop thinking about it! The noodles are a must-try. The service is excellent too — the staff are friendly, polite, and always greet customers with warm, sweet smiles. Highly recommended! 🥳

My colleague recommended this lunch spot and we decided to give it a try. Anything for an air-condition eating place on a weekday afternoon. Beats the heat and humidity! We arrived and found that it's a really small eating place that would accommodate around 20-pax. It's smack outside of Tanjong Pagar MRT station entrance/exit to the trains, near Royce and Little Farm. We were fortunate to secure a table for 4 as a patron left moments after we arrived. We placed our order at the cashier and received our receipt with our pick-up number. The cashier asked each customer: "Can you take spicy?". Strange right? Well.. not so as they offer different "levels" of spiciness. We waited about 5-mins for our food which they will call out your number. You just collect them at the counter, next to the cashier. I went for Set C: Braised beef rice noodle & black pepper beef rougamo, (spicy) and the Tea with Glass jelly. My fiancée had Set D: Pickled cabbage fish with rice noodle & cumin pork rougamo, (spicy) and warm Soy Bean Milk. The colleague that recommended the place just had a bowl of Braised beef rice noodle and a drink (non-spicy). If you are going for the drink it's best to order the Set meal as you pay about $1 for the drink. As it turns out.. the noodle tasted much better with spice. You can request for less spicy during ordering. Non-spicy version is not make the cut. But be warn that their chilli has quite a kick as you eat. It doesn't seem much when we started but after finishing the noodles, we were quite full and can't really eat the Rougamo. So my fiancée brought back her Rougamo. I then understand why my colleague didn't order the set meal. However it's still worth it to order the meal and take home the rougamo. I didn't quite like the Spicy black pepper beef rougamo. The Original tasted better. All food is served in disposable containers. There is not tray return and doesn't look like they have enough staff to clean up after you eat. So we decided to return the tray and used bowls back to the counter so that the staff can clear them. If you are looking for a quick bite and want some spice in your meal. You should consider Qin Ji Rougamo (秦记肉夹馍) at Guoco Tower, Tanjong Pagar MRT station.

I ordered Set A at $13.80! Comes with a drink, noodle and rougamo! It’s so filling. The grass jelly milk tea was good and not too sweet. Sour spicy noodles was not as strong (sour spicy) as other Chinese food places, which was good. The noodle texture is thicker too, with nice springy texture. The rougamo was warm, lots of meat filling! I found the flavor to be mild though, not as fragrant as I would have hoped! Overall a nice meal. Value set is more worth than Ala carte!

The restaurant has a new dish ^ pork wonton soup ^. When I walked in, the manager of the restaurant was very friendly and greeted me. She introduced a new dish and I decided to try it. It was really delicious. I waited 5 minutes for a bowl of hot soup. This restaurant is really crowded at 12 noon, so there might not be a seat. The staff is friendly. I will definitely be back😍😍

Tried the pickled cabbage fish with rice noodles at Qin Ji Rou Gamo. The broth was alright, with noticeable spice that can get quite intense if you're not used to it. Also had their pork rougamo, which was delicious with tender meat and a crisp, flavourful bun.
