A Solid CBD Haven for Comfort Food and Deep Focus Finding a quiet, reliable spot in Tanjong Pagar that transitions smoothly from a satisfying lunch to a productive workspace can be tricky, but Nana’s Green Tea at Guoco Tower hits the right balance. The Food & Drink Spread: The table spread was visually generous, fresh, and cleanly executed: • Chicken Nanban Set: The standout main dish. The fried chicken cutlet maintained a crisp, golden crunch topped with a generous, egg-heavy tartar sauce and fresh scallions. Paired with purple millet rice, potato salad, and fresh greens, it offered a complete and well-proportioned meal. • Sukiyaki Beef Udon: Served hot with tender slices of beef, soft leeks, mushrooms, and a soft poached egg in a sweet-savory broth, pure comfort food. • Salmon Carpaccio: A fresh, vibrant side featuring sashimi-grade salmon topped with chopped cucumber and cherry tomatoes, providing a crisp, acidic contrast to the richer mains. • Beverages: The iced Hojicha Latte offered a rich, earthy, and low-bitterness roasted profile, served cold with minimal dilution to keep the flavor intact. Workspace & Environment: Tucked against high glass curtain walls, the café benefits from generous natural daylight and views of the surrounding outdoor greenery. Once the lunch surge clears, the high-ceilinged space quiets down significantly, turning the sturdy wooden tables into a great nook for setting up a laptop, opening a notebook, and getting into a focused state for reading or study. Overall Impression: With fair portions, balanced flavors, and an inviting spatial layout, it is a very dependable option in the heart of the CBD whether you are looking for a satisfying Japanese meal or a quiet corner to focus. Thank you for the warm welcoming service from the front line & thank chef for having us. My friend and I enjoyed our day here.
View on GoogleHad a drink this week at Nana's Green Tea at Green Tower, and honestly it’s one of those places that feels very easy and comfortable for a slow weekend 🍵 It’s not overly crowded on weekends, which I like, but you still see a steady flow of people coming in for a pretty healthy lunch. Their menu leans towards Japanese-style light meals with a good portion of protein, so it doesn’t feel heavy 👍 The space itself is quite big — a long rectangular layout. There’s a bit of outdoor seating, but it can get quite hot with little airflow, so indoors is definitely better 😅 Inside, the air-conditioning is comfortable, and there are long wooden tables with soft lighting. It’s actually a great spot if you want to bring your laptop or even for kids to sit and do some homework 💻 They also have a few tables for four, so it works for small groups too. The highlight here is really their matcha and hojicha 🍃 The matcha is very well done — not powdery at all, but thick, smooth, and full-bodied. You can really taste the depth of the tea. You can also customise it with toppings like: • soft serve • mochi balls • red beans So you can mix and match depending on what you feel like, which makes it more interesting. They also serve hojicha (both hot and cold), which has that nice roasted, slightly nutty flavour — very easy to drink. Overall, it’s the kind of place you go to when you want: 🍵 a good, authentic Japanese tea 🥗 a light and balanced meal 💻 or just a quiet, comfortable space to sit for a while Nothing overly fancy, but very consistent, clean, and comfortable — the kind of place you’ll come back to without thinking twice 👌
View on GoogleThey have lunch set on weekdays and even weekends. Prices and portion are reasonable. The rice was yummy and the texture was bouncy. Miso soup was just average. I asked for teriyaki sauce on the side and they are very accommodating. Service was good. Food arrived fast. Great for quick lunch.
View on GoogleLooks like many people working on their laptops or studying here. But still plenty of tables for diners. We had the dinner set for 2. The main is well balanced. The signature green tea latte and ice cream are of course excellent.
View on GoogleWas at nana for desserts. Not bad, matcha taste is prominent due to is real matcha. Interesting that for the drinks, it already has no sugar so watch out and inform the counter if u want sugar in your drink.
