Went at 2pm and waiting time was ard 10-15mins. Value for price. Portion is big to finish for a lady. Order pork chop i find it abit hard. I love the crunchy fries though. It came with baked beans and bun with lupak butter. Would be nicer with coleslaw and lightly toast or grill the bun. Would be back to try the fried cutlet next time.
View on Googlelast ate at their margaret drive stall which is donkey years ago when the old auntie is still there. didnt have the chance to eat at their current stall till today. big portion for their chicken chop and it is so tender. only downside is the waiting time
View on GoogleI do not understand why people find this western food nice. I came here because someone told me their western food is nice. So I ordered their pork chop and dine at the hawker center. The pork chop is hard and dried. The baked beans nothing special maybe the fries is slightly better as it is crispy. the bun is soft. I want to mention that the boss of the stall definitely has some attitude problem. It is our first time there so we didn’t know must stand there to wait for the food. We sat down at the table in front of their stall. When the food is ready, the boss shouted at us, “eh hello” loudly as if we are deaf when we are just 4 steps away from him. He looked and stared at us as if we did something wrong. I told my friends about this and they also said that this boss has attitude problem since Margaret drive days. He has never changed as if people owe him to buy his food. I will definitely not return here again.
View on GoogleQueued 30mins and writing this as I just finished my food - its amazing - 5/5! 👍 Value for money: 5/5 👍 Business sense: incredibly fascinating 🤣 I brought my own containers for takeaway because reduce plastic. I also asked for one very complicated special request: please put the fries in the second container so they don’t spend the journey home swimming in coleslaw and tartar sauce. Cannot. Said “too busy” to do this, but during the wait the lady had time to stand around waiting for the food to cook, plate the food, and repeat solemnly that packing into two containers is impossible. The rule is only one takeaway box. So they have a compartmentalized takeaway box thats 50cents, but I don’t think this was even about the money. The portions here are so generous that they are obviously not trying to squeeze customers for money. If they wanted, they could raise prices 50% and there would still be a queue. This is INSANE because it was principle, or a sacred rule. WE WILL PACK YOUR ORDER INTO ONE CONTAINER NO MATTER WHAT. The auntie assured me it would fit. But when it came to the actual packing, there was so much food that it did not fit (kudos to them - absolute value for money and would pay more than $11 for that 🙏). The fries were already soaked in the tartar sauce. At that point the container was shoved to me so that I could rearrange the food like a block toy puzzle and solve the engineering problem myself. This is the fascinating point. The people here are excellent at the most difficult parts of running a food business that people mess up: the food is good, portions are generous, prices are reasonable, and people queue for it. 💯💯💯 And they are here after 50 years where most stalls dont even survive the tenancy contract. But the easiest part - making a customer slightly happier at almost zero effort - they just cannot. 🥶 So the message is: We already cooked you good food at this price - why must you also be happy eating it? 🚫 Or in chinese it would be - So delicious, such a big portion, so cheap, prepared for you with so much hard work, why do you still insist on being happy eating it?
View on GoogleUpdate: been coming regularly and its still so good. They change their entire pot of oil 2x a day, for lunch and dinner to keep things fresh so you dont get that yucky oily tasty. Everything is literally made to order. You can see uncle breading and cutting your chicken/pork/fish chops and cutlets. However, to maintain this quality means service is a little slow. So bare with them! Honestly quite nice for chinese western food. Came late and couldn't get the chicken cutlet so I settled for regular chicken chop. It's a bit pricy by the serving size is solid. If you're a small eater then you better share. Liked that they gave a bun with lupak butter! Made my own chicken chop burger cause why not. Since I came late the stall was practically preparing to close and the lady boss was super friendly and all smiles. So I'd say service is great! Definitely going back for that cutlet soon.
