the porridge is v good..( although u can get similar ones elsewhere) but the best is still the jellyfish salad ( cannot get elsewhere.. at least not that i know of) they used to sell raw fish.. but after raw fish is banned.. they converted to jellyfish ( but if u dun like spring onion.. then this is not for u.. cos there is alot) they do sell out v fast usually sold out by 4 pm they start the business at abt 2 pm so ya.. the window is v short... so best bet is to go there between 2 pm to 330pm..

Walked around Maxwell and chanced upon this stall that sells porridge. Didn’t noticed this stall in the pass whenever I was here for my meal. Over here, they have 3 different types of porridge from SGD$3.50 onwards. Apart from porridge, they also sell other items such as the jelly fish salad and sesame oil chicken. I ordered the Century egg porridge which was SGD$4, I didn’t have to wait long before my food was ready. Porridge was flavorful despite looking very plain. The bowl of porridge also comes with generous amount of century egg and homemade meatball. The homemade meatball was not bad but could do with more seasoning. Texture of the porridge was consistent too, it didn’t get too watery. Overall, the porridge was pretty decent and I wouldn’t mind trying again. I would definitely recommend this stall if you are craving for porridge.

If you have a taste bud for porridge, this stall is the one. The best here in Maxwell food centre and could also be among the top 10 in Singapore. Sold out fast so plan ahead before heading down to avoid disappointment. I just happened to be here looking for other bites. Fortunately I managed to get the last bowl of the day. For tourist, no regrets if you like a taste of Singapore congee. $4 a bowl century egg congee.

Tian ji offers the best tasting porridge at a very good price. The portion is just nice for me. But do take note that they have a rather short operating hours.
