Was craving sauerkraut fish and came across this stall at Maxwell Food Centre. There’s only one size at $15, and it doesn’t come with rice. The wait was about 5–10 minutes, and the bowl that came out was huge — definitely more of a sharing portion. The fish slices were very generous, and there’s also jelly-like vermicelli in the soup. Glad I didn’t add rice. The soup leans more sour than spicy, though my head was still sweating after the meal. Loved the generous fish portion; it’s probably enough for even two people.

Top notch Sichuan food. Second time here. Favourites are la zi ji, mapo tofu, black fungus with pork. Friendly bosses. Would return and highly recommend.

Very delicious and authentic Sichuan Cuisine. Ordered Grilled Fish on Paper with Sauerkraut flavour. The fish is fresh and big size, also generous portion of the sides ingredients inside like sliced tofu, beansprout, wood ear mushrooms, cabbage, and salted veggie. Taste was nice. And also we ordered Mix Chilli Chicken Cube and Dry Fried French Bean with Minced Pork. The chicken cube was delicious and has numbing taste from the sichuan peppercorns. French Bean was nice too. Price is reasonable and the portion is big. The lady boss is friendly. Recommended.

we paid S$22 for three dishes which made a fairly heartening meal, the price is just incredible. they modified the dish slightly to be less oily and less spicy in order to please the local taste buds, but the food is nonetheless flavourful and we could even taste the various spices mixed to cook the simple-looking cabbage. the ingredients used are all fresh and clean, pork slices being the tender parts rather than low-quality meat. all the dishes have a strong wok hey and do not taste any less than those of pricier chinese restaurants, if not better than which. well recommended if you want to try some goo chinese food at affordable price!
