The stall owner is incredibly friendly and down to earth, always patient and happy to chat with every customer. He takes the time to make small conversations, which makes the whole experience feel warm and personal rather than rushed. The ang ku kueh here is solid and generously filled. The peanut ang ku kueh is packed with plenty of peanuts, giving it a satisfying bite. The mung bean version is just as good, fully loaded with smooth, fragrant mung bean paste. It's is a simple stall run by a genuinely kind stall owner who offers honest, well made kueh. If you happen to pass by, do stop and support him. 😊

Having walked past this old uncle way too many times at 9pm plus and he is still there waiting for customers to buy his kueh. 3 flavours - Peanut, Red Bean & Mung Bean. Ordered 2 of everything. Just $1 each. Around the size of a credit card. They aren’t too sweet or too oily. Filling is relatively decent for the size. Skin is slightly chewy, not as “smooth/soft” compared to Harris Ann Nonya Kueh. It’s not “Michelin” rated kueh but his kueh resonate well for me. I’ll get them again if I at Maxwell again. 80+ year old hawker still slogging it out till late, making everything by hand, with a smile so passionate despite selling just 2 pieces to the customer after me. This is truly SG hawker culture that we have to respect and support, if possible.

One of the pioneer hawkers at tourist-packed Maxwell HC serving affordable ang ku kueh & wah kueh. Always go for uncle’s sizeable ang ku kueh after work if uncle is open. Uncle is always friendly & cheerful despite low footfall (saw many tourists looking & walking past). Ang ku kueh taste so much better seeing uncle’s warmth gesture. Please do support our elderly hawkers!! 😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋

Sat down in front of the stall and I had no idea what snack delight is nor I didn’t know it was closed. I didn’t realize it’s Ang ku kueh. Colorful rice cake desserts, that’s tortoise shaped. It’s like mochi. I also can’t help but notice all the customers that stopped by are locals. So it piqued my interest especially since other stalls are jampacked with tourists. I would have passed by it but I’m glad I didn’t. Especially since I learned a lot of lessons of hawker culture in my last trip. I got the, green bean and peanut. Wow the texture is really soft. Really affordable. A dollar each. Im glad I didn’t skip this. He is truly happy when a customer comes up since so many walk by. I’m touched by all the reviews here and also wish him good health and luck.

Nice ang ku kueh. Tried both peanut and mung bean, both not too sweet. Taste natural and generous filling. Skin on the chewy mochi type. Similar to hand-made kuehs I ate in Malaysia. Was actually queuing for popiah at the next stall at 6pm+ on a Saturday and saw uncle opening his stall and displaying his kuehs. Uncle is super friendly. Even told me kuehs are just made, and still warm. Stall is clean and neat. Pls support 🙏. Kuehs are $1 each. After reading all other reviews, I cant wait to try the Wan Kueh.
