When spinach soup was all the rage, I had tried many versions. I had high hopes for this stall, given its popularity. I ordered the classic minced pork one, choosing bee hoon as carbs ($6.70). While the portion was generous and spinach was fresh, the taste fell short of expectations. The bee hoon was undercooked and very hard. The soup should be renamed duo colour egg soup as it was missing the salted egg flavours. Instead , it was quite heavily on century eggs. I also noticed that the mee sua of the stranger I was sharing a table with, who ordered from the same stall, was undercooked and lumpy, too. Furthermore, the soup was missing goji berries, which likely explains the flat taste. Given this disappointing experience, I'm unlikely to return.

Hearty and healthy bowl of spinach soup. Saw that the sliced meat portion is very generous and hence opt for the mixed ball option thinking that it will be lighter, but the balls are also very huge! $5.80 for takeaway quite generous for the portion, portion can feed 2 small eaters. Vegetables and balls tasted fresh! Soup was alright, typical.

Like what others point out: Food’s decent, portions are hearty and the price is fair. Service is a little slow, but I prefer my spinach well cooked than crispy anyway. Atmosphere is warm and stuffy, but cmon you knew what you came for (this is Maxwell).

Hearty generous portions of veggies and assorted meats. Veggies are tender. For takeaway the packed soup is wrapped carefully and avoided spillage on the way home. How thoughtful! Thanks!

The soup and serving was actually ok. But i hated the chicken. Im not sure what they use to marinate it, but the taste is just disgusting. The joke was when I asked for cut chili - cos it totally ran out in the soya sauce container, I was told that they don't have cut chili anymore, ran out as it was RARE. I was like seriously??? He continued to say yes really, chili hard to get recently bcos Thailand xxxxx.. b4 he could finished, i have walked away. I just bought a packet of chili padi yesterday at ntuc. Idk how rare chili could be. These are condiments to go along with what you are selling. If you cannot even afford to offer more of them, I dont see how u want business from people or expects people to patronise you- if chili is a non negotiable.
