Kyuukei Coffee at Maxwell is a really cozy little cafe and a lovely place to pause for a good coffee. I really enjoyed that there were two blends to choose from, which made it feel a bit more thoughtful and interesting than the usual coffee stop. The coffee itself was tasty and well made, and the staff member who served me was engaging, friendly and genuinely helpful. That kind of warm service always makes a difference. A great spot if you want quality coffee in a relaxed and welcoming setting. I’d happily come back again.

Cute cafe nestled on the second floor in Maxwell. Food was decadent, the bread they used was amazing. Food was very tasty, on the heavy side for sure (lots of cheese!). Coffee list was extensive, they had a wide variety of beans but I just wanted a basic latte, they didn’t offer that. Overall would go back to taste the other food!

I’ve always wanted to visit Kyuukei Coffee but only got the chance to after they opened at Kada Maxwell. Dropped by slightly after lunch and it wasn’t too crowded. The space isn’t very big, but it’s friendly and welcoming which makes for a pleasant visit. I liked that you’re able to choose between fruity or nutty beans for the Flat White ($6.50). I went with the nutty option and was glad I chose the flat white over latte as the espresso-to-milk ratio felt nicely balanced. I also couldn’t resist the Canele ($4), and it turned out to be one of my favourites. The exterior was nicely caramelised with a crisp, chewy crunch, while the inside was custardy with subtle hints of rum and vanilla. 📸 For more food reviews, check out @hangry.potatoo on instagram

[Latest review] This is now my favourite cafe on the island. Noting that I liked the Colombian Punchy, NOBS recommended "Anaya Spring" a Colombian of strawberry and guava flavour with an effervescent character. Wonderful beverage. Brought the beans home and made a fizzy espresso with it. ❤️ [Earlier review] One of my favourite coffee roaster. Lately, have been finding pleasure from their lovely Colombian Punchy as a Dirty. It was peachy and sweet from the specialty thick milk, milbok. Wife ordered the Punchy in filter. Made by Krystal. She made it bright and effervescent, like her character. Unlike her coffee, she may be a bit lacking in stamina. A good coffee needs balance. Perhaps that's why Krystal makes a good pair with NOBS, a very powerful and cool character 😎. You will see it for yourself when you meet her. Can't show the pretty visuals of the Baristas due to AUP.

Came here after lunch for a quick coffee break. The place was packed from chairs to tables:you really have to squeeze through the crowd to order, or you can just use the QR code on the table for cashless ordering. 🥰 We decided on the Latte, which I think is definitely their specialty. The beans are incredibly aromatic with distinct floral notes. It’s quite strong and perfect for true coffee lovers!💪 I also tried the matcha, which was just okay; the tea aroma was a bit mild, but the taste was quite bitter and astringent. The brownie and classic canele were great! The brownie was super rich, decadent, and not too sweet! It definitely hits a dessert lover's sweet spot. The canele was perfectly caramelized and sweet!
