First, It was stated on the menu that roti John is $5, and only one price, but when I ordered it and asked the obvious (how much is it?) the staff told me $8. I asked why is it $8 when it’s stated in the menu $5, he told me “small chicken big chicken”. So, if I didn't ask, would I have been served the “big chicken” by default? So, always ask the obvious if you are going to order from them although I recommend against it. Second, I tried to pay via the SGQR, but was told no. The QR “isn’t working”. I had to paynow him. So why are they displaying it when it isn’t working? Third, the food is below average. Quite a small amount of chicken. Maybe that’s their “small chicken”.
View on GoogleNot even sure if there’s any much portion difference based on the 3 tier pricing strategy, 7,9 or 12 dollars would the portion be any different ? Generally, compared to other stalls, the price point gives you some value cos the neighboring stalls sell about 7.80. For the same price point, you can get so much better at Bugis area. More chicken and less chicken tendons found in the murtabak. Could have cooked jt a little longer but they made it just warm n edible. Skin not crispy enough. One time customer, not eating this again
View on GoogleDiscovered this Indian food stall and had mutton biryani. Affordable price and the taste is authentic. Probably one of the most best places near Tanjong Pagar for a biryani. Plating and serving size is more than filling. Balance of spices, slight heat and perfectly cooked rice. Highly recommended.
View on GoogleGood Roti prata in Shenton way Maxwell market. Light, crispy and good fish gravy. Yet to try the mutton curry..
View on GoogleMaxwell Foodcourt is a must after drinks in Telok Ayer Area. Mixed stuff stall, one of the very few operating later in the evening. Bami Goreng is a little distant from what you actually would expect, chewy and rather too thick noodles and really a lot of bones in the chicken, so you eating feels like going through the mine field detecting them. Overall ok for a quick bite.
