A plate that hits all the right notes 🤤 Roasted pork belly and char siew noodles, done perfectly. The char siew has that beautiful balance of charred edges, tender lean meat, and just enough fat to keep every bite juicy. The roasted pork belly is crisp on the outside, succulent inside — classic, no nonsense goodness. What really ties everything together is the deeply umami sauce — rich, savoury, slightly sweet — coating the springy egg noodles so well that you’ll want to mix every strand properly before digging in. Add a side of greens to cut the richness, and this plate is simply complete. Hands down my favourite char siew in Singapore. Simple, comforting, and ridiculously satisfying 😋👍
View on GoogleIt was a long queue during lunch, with about a 20-minute wait when I joined the line at 12:04 pm. I ordered the roasted duck drumstick with char siew noodles and requested to have the duck deboned. The seller mentioned that it would take a little longer, so I waited for a while. The total came to $11, which was more than I expected. The roasted duck was the highlight of the meal. It was soft, tender, and well roasted. The char siew, however, was disappointing. The slices were cut quite thick and the texture was rather tough, so it’s not something I would recommend. My colleague added roasted pork to the order, and we both agreed that the roasted pork was good. The presentation wasn’t particularly appealing, but overall the meal was enjoyable, with the char siew being the only letdown.
View on GoogleRoasted duck & Char siew Rice 🍚⭐️ - $5.50 The duck is not bad, skin is extra charred but not tough which is good ~ Prefer the Char Siew as it was nicely done, more lean than fat & both meat has the traditional aroma taste. Liked that the char siew is the not sweet kind,, the chilli balances the dish well, has a sweet kick to it. Overall, the meat to rice ratio is perfect for me & find it reasonable 😋 If you like the traditional kind, can give this place a try. Went on a Monday around 3:15pm and there’s still a queue, waited about 10 minutes as there was only one uncle but he was friendly and nice,, uncle is pretty old so be patient yalls ~ Would come back to try their roasted pork next !
View on GoogleI love the duck as it is a very well done roasted duck. The skin was crispy and the duck was juicy and not gamey. The char siew was caramelised perfectly, resulting in a good mix of sweet and savoury. However, the portion size can be slightly small. Other than that, uncle does that meats super well. There is also a long queue. On a friday afternoon, queued about 30 mins
View on GoogleOverrated by tourists It's decent, the siobak had some crisp, char siew looked better than it tastes, it's very flat and texture wasn't good, just all around mediocre Duck was not bad in terms of the flavour of the skin, but no crisp. If you want to order just meat, 3 meat mix starts from 20$ Nothing particularly noteworthy in terms of taste, however the queue moves excruciatingly slowly for no apparent reason. If you don't have to eat in the area, then don't bother. Too many tourists in the queue too
