I had their char kway teow thrice, twice dine in and takeaway, and both times did not disappoint. It is very flavourful, great blend of ingredients paired together with their sauce. It lacked the wok hey flavour and pork lard, but aside from that it's a decent dish, their cockles are fresh too. For the price of $5 at this location, I'd say it's pretty worth it, portion size is very reasonable. I'll definitely return again to try their other dishes.

📍Maxwell Hawker • Fresh cockles fried kway teow • Fried Hokkien prawn noodles • Black carrot cake The Hokkien mee here is really good. The queue took around 20 minutes, but it was definitely worth the wait

Very bad Hokkien mee. Not sure what the hype. Saw the queue and decided to try. I think the queue is long because it moves so slowly. The mee is very salty and lacks the depth of a good broth. plate of sodium laden noodles in a nutshell.

Had the Fried Oyster from this stall many times. This time round, ordered it from another stall and did a comparison. The one from this stall, in white plate, tasted more flavourful, and the oyster was bigger and fresher compared to the other shall in Maxwell market. They are not open everyday though. The old lady said they are closed on Wednesdays but sometimes closed on other days too. You will get to try it when they open. 😅 but I would strongly recommend u try the Fried Oyster from this stall.

They serve your order fresh, and one by one so service is super slow. Fried kway teow was nice, though there wasn't a ton of seafood in it honestly. The oyster cake (fried oyster) was all batter, tasted OK. Conditions in the food centre is very undesirable, very hot and no space to walk between aisles at all. Better order takeaway.
