My Reliable Comfort Bowl at Amoy Whenever the Lor Mee craving hits, this is my immediate go-to. Located right next to Grandma Ban Mian, this stall consistently delivers that thick, savory gravy (lor) that isn’t overly starchy or "clumpy." The Highlight: The fried toppings stay surprisingly crispy despite the gravy. The Pro-Tip: Don’t hold back on the minced garlic and black vinegar—it cuts through the richness perfectly. Verdict: It’s a solid, nostalgic bowl that never disappoints. Definitely one of the highlights of Amoy Street Food Centre!

The sauce of the lor mee is not starchy until like snort as in many stalls, but it was a tad too sweet for my liking. Furthermore, the ingredients were mainly fried and were very hard. This stall is manned by two friendly aunties.

Overall breakfast experience is good. Ordered LOR Mee Hoon (added Fish) and top up to $5 for ease to use the CDC voucher. Stall opens at 7.30am Monday to Friday. They have 2-more stalls at Whampoo Mkt, and Seletar Mall (shared info from the lady boss) The entire LOR Mee Hoon concoction is just so 古早味 !The gravy is so flavorful THICK (LUV it) and the fish crispy … the lor bak is well seasoned but hard (needs lots of chewing) but I like it !! Lots of good memories flashes back while enjoying this Yummilicious bowl of LOR Mee Hoon. Will definitely come back very soon to have this bowl of 味道人气人情满🈵的 卤面粉。 More photos added from the re-visit.

I’m a big fan of Lor Mee. This is my go-to these days. The Amoy Street Lor Mee outlet at Amoy Street Food Centre. I go for the large bowl. I get a satisfying bowl of meat, crunchy, crispy fried dough, fish chunks and egg. A good measure of vinegar, garlic and chili… heals my soul.
