At YAYOI, we prepare teishoku with a healthy balance of dishes on a single tray. These set meals contain freshly-cooked rice, the staple food of the Japanese people, accompanied by miso soup and other main and side dishes.

First visit here. A pleasant dinner spent with my family on a Tuesday evening. Suitable for singles to family. I like the single row seats with individual ordering iPad 👍 Staff are very attentive - refilling tea, clearing plates. But not engaging. It'll be nice if someone can offer to recommend some of the star dishes but this is just my subjective opinion as not everyone liked to be engaged. Food wise - don't be deceived by the photos! Portion looks small for Singapore family restaurant standard but it is adequate and satisfying. Fresh and great flavours. Thank you for the meal ☺️

Everyone loves a nice Japenese restaurant. This is one of them, situated at the corner of Millenia Walk ( outside the entrance ) facing The Conrad Cosy and nice ambience, also great for families night out. There are many dinner sets to choose from. Love their salads and teriyaki rice bowls. Favourite set : sukiyaki beef dinner set. Value for money and food is really fresh ! Enjoyed our dinner . Will be back. Thank u for your great service !

Great quality food presented in a pleasant fashion. Good service too. Loved the pickled vegetables to balance the fried dishes. We had the teishoku sets. Tempura, katsu, mixed toji. Everyone was happy with their sets especially for the beautifully fried tempura. 🍤 Free flow of soup and rice 🍚. 😁

Yayoi the famed set meals restaurants which are traditionally economical n provide a rounded meal of meat/fish with tsukemono side dishes, soup n small dessert in Japan. However in SG apparently the menu has been upgraded/changed n it’s a much more exclusive n expanded menu. Usually these teishoku outlets are for working classes n salary men for a quick no frills meal. This Millenia Walk branch as shown in my pics has a wide range of cuisine/food n the prices can be quite stiff for a “set” meal. The service was good n food came fast n hot as only 2 tables were occupied. All in it’s quite a different experience from the standard Nihon styled Yayoi that one finds in Japan. This simplified meal for 2pax costs SG$71.09 - my opinion not really economical but u be the judge !!

Always enjoy their rice, even if have to top up a few dollars. Extensive menu and good taste, some of the sets are quite a good deal. Taste is quite uniform across different outlets.
