Great flavoured chicken rice. Great and quick service, decent pricing range. The Chicken rice dumpling soup set for $7 is a great buy. Fish head curry is $24, and is super spicy and hot! Quantity is enough for 6-7 people. Highly recommended.

Had lunch here recently with some of my colleagues. Wee Nam Kee is a well known chicken rice restaurant in Singapore, probably one of the two or three most famous ones. I found the quality of the chicken and char siew (roast pork) to be poorer than expected. The meats were dry as you can see in my pictures, definitely not typical of ‘good chicken rice’ in Singapore. The vegetable dish and rice were up to standard, but that’s not what I went there for.

Definitely one of the best chicken rice around. Service = fast, food delivery = fast, food quality = great, food quantity = perfect, price = good! A great clean and comfortable pace serving traditional style chicken rice and more!

This place comes recommended because the restaurant is supposedly well established. Nope. Dishes we ordered: 1 x roasted chicken 1 x steamed chicken 1 x hot plate beancurd 1 x oyster sauce vegetables 1 x BBQ pork + Roasted Pork Let's start with the basics - chicken. The roasted chicken was tough (I had the back.. but it tasted like the breast meat..), and not juicy. Felt like it was over done. The texture of the steam chicken was the same as the roasted chicken. Oh the horror! Don't bother with the hot plate beancurd because there was no taste to the entire dish. The texture of the tofu was soggy. And the rest were canned mushroom. Sad. The vegetables were drizzled sparingly with oyster sauce. They used Kailan, which will most certainly be bitter when blanched in large quantity. So that little oyster sauce did nothing to the taste. The BBQ pork was tender but the taste was not impressive. The roasted pork tasted average, like those you could get anywhere else. Certainly not worth the price. The only saving grace - their fragrance rice. It was well cooked and well seasoned. I paid 12 dollars for mostly nonsense. Don't be fooled by the queue.

Very delicious chicken & rice even after so many years. The soup which is a must for me, is really an added complement. Dumplings soup is worth a try. Very friendly staff. This stall doesn't stinge on repeated request for extra soup👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
