Lovely cosy hideout to have some food and drinks. The beef was delicious, well marinated and cooked to the way I want it. Can’t get enough of it. Maki roll was well done and tasty too. Other dishes was alright and still up to standard. All dishes were well presented. Service was good by the male server. Everything went well. Will be back again
View on GoogleWe had our dinner here before the Queen Musical. This place is convenient and perfect for a meal before the performance. Nice interior with interesting wall murals. It would have been perfect if the food matched the interior. Unfortunately for me, I did not enjoy the food served here. Considering the prices, I thought the food quality is a mismatch. To improve, maybe use better ingredients. And maybe serve yakitori that’s not too burned.
View on GoogleWe visited this place around 9.20pm after checking that it will close at 11pm. We ordered at aroind 9.40pm and food promptly arrives within 10mins. But immediately after, we were told that it was time for last order even though it was slightly before 10pm. When we ask for more wasabi, the server did not comply and said that it was given on the dish. Not much of service was rendered though whenever we asked for tea, it was refilled. 20mins into our meal, the server came and start asking for us to move our remaining food into another plate so that he could clear some plates even though we are still eating them. To us, the service is quite unpleasant. Food: not fantastic. Especially if you are expecting Izakaya food. We ordered mainly sushi rolls and appetizers. Tori karage is extremely salty. Eveything esle is edible. The low score is for the bad service as the restaurant doesnt exemplify a proper Japanese restaurant. Damage is slightly more than $50per pax. I do not recommend trying the restaurant
View on GoogleWas feeling tired, not hungry, on a Thursday night, to listen to a performance. Ordered the grilled beef, a glass of sake and some edamame. Even though I had no appetite the food tasted very good. Beef was done just nice flavourful, edamame is also very nicely salty and cooked just right not too soggy. Got Japanese standard. Service is very discreet and quiet. Price is a little high but what do you expect at Esplanade.
View on Googlefor the price, perhaps not the most value meal. - i tried the meal and the grilled salmon was really good! - tempura given was also nice - chawanmushi was not worth adding. $5 for what i thought I could make at home. egg consistency wasnt that smooth (with holes, air bubbles). - the oysters were ok, not great but also not the worst
