I visited SBCD Korean Tofu House with my wife around 5pm, just before the dinner crowd came in, and it turned out to be a great decision. The restaurant was still relatively quiet, which made for a calm and relaxed dining experience. By the time we were finishing up, the place had started to fill quickly, so making a reservation would be a smart move if you’re planning to come during peak hours. The highlight for me was easily the bulgogi. It was, without exaggeration, one of the best I’ve had. The meat was tender and richly seasoned, carrying a deep umami flavour that lingered with every bite. It struck a good balance between savoury and slightly sweet, and it paired beautifully with the rest of the dishes on the table. The soups were equally impressive. Warm, comforting, and packed with flavour, they felt nourishing without being overly heavy. Each spoonful had depth, making it the kind of dish you’d want on a rainy day or when you need something grounding. Service here was smooth and attentive. The staff were friendly and quick to respond, and our food arrived without much delay. It made the whole meal feel effortless and well-paced. A small but memorable touch was the complimentary cultured drink given at the end of the meal, which added a nice finish to the experience. Overall, SBCD delivers a consistently pleasant dining experience. Good food, efficient service, and a comfortable environment make it a reliable spot for Korean cuisine in the city.
View on GoogleVery suitable for family outings even for demanding family members - there is a free small fried fish for every person, other banchans are also generous in terms of refill, gave 2 thermos of teas (one hot one cold) that makes it very family friendly, friendly at helping to take the photos and ensuring the dishes are all nicely laid out, fast, clean, efficient, decent portion, not too expensive, food quality is quite good (but oily and salty, would be 5 stars if they reduced the oil and sodium levels), free yoghurt drink at the end of the meal. All in all great experience, I also see many families there having a good time
View on GoogleSBCD Korean Tofu House is a great spot for hot and comforting Korean food. The tofu stew arrived bubbling hot and packed with flavour, perfect if you’re craving something warm and satisfying. The banchan were refreshing and nicely balanced, complementing the mains well and making the meal feel complete Service was prompt and efficient, so the overall dining experience was smooth even during busier periods. The only small downside is that while there are three visible doors, there is really only one actual entrance from within the mall, which can be a little confusing the first time
View on Google@eats.withshan Came here on Monday dinner and it was not so busy yay! We got the combo meal - 1 beef soontofu & 1 chicken teriyaki for only ($29.9+) - sooo affordable and filling!! Their soon tofu doesn't need any debate, it's just so comforting and yummy! Chicken teriyaki also very tender and delicious although the sauce was a little bit too sweet for me.
View on GoogleMust order the pancakes , tofu (duh!). Prices r reasonable. The squid is really good. Miss the food at the basement of GIC since leaving and it’s been awhile. Tanjong Pagar ‘s service seems better. Standard banchan
