Complimentary eggs and bean sprouts served. Tried the spicy tonkotsu ramen - soup based is good with fresh ingredients, pork gyoza - tasty and flavourful, zangi (deep fried chicken) - big piece not like the usual chicken karrage size, well marinated. Bill comes with service charge and gst.
View on GoogleHad a meal at Sapporo Misono and tried the Pork Loin Miso Ramen with Corn, Potato Mochi, and a plate of Gyoza. The ramen was alright, though the pork loin was a bit too fatty for my liking. I did enjoy the corn, which added a touch of sweetness and some texture to the bowl. The potato mochi wasn’t really to my taste as it felt a little heavy and bland. The gyoza was pretty standard but decent.
View on GoogleThe restaurant atmosphere was good, not crowded on a weekday evening. The foods were served fast. Complimentary beansprouts and hard boiled eggs. Ramen tasted ok. The dipping sauce that came with the dry version ramen was slightly salty in my opinion, maybe its supposed to be such. The fried rice was good. Price was reasonable for Japanese restaurant.
View on GoogleCame at 4pm on a Sunday and the crowd levels were low. Water was not served so I'm guessing it's not complimentary. Free flow hard boiled eggs and marinated beansprouts. 🫓🥔 Really liked the Hokkaido Potato Mochi which was chewy, crispy and fragrant from the butter slices and savory sauce. It was so well liked by us we ordered twice. I rate: 4/5 🌟 🥟 Pork gyoza was flavourful in fillings. But rather airy and empty in terms of filling ratio. Really loved the side vinegar dipping sauce. I rate: 3/5 🌟 I loved how the Ramen is customisable to the doneness of noodles, fragrant oil amount, saltiness of broth as well as choice of meat. 🍜 Scorched Shoyu Ramen w Butter and Corn was light and fragrant. I like that the green onions shreds elevates the soup flavours. Only thing I didn't like was that the broth was not very hot. The butter did not melt very well and was rather lumpy for a while. I rate: 3/5 🌟 🍜 Spicy Miso Ramen with corn and butter was quite flavourful and impactful in flavour. Combination of butter and miso and spice was rather heavy, but ideal for those who like strong flavours. Definitely their miso flavoured soup broths are their signature. I rate: 4/5🌟 ________________ Service aspect: Was served by a rather irritable waitress who was slowly taking her time to maneuver the tables. When entered, I signaled for table for 3. She glanced at me and continued wiping the tables. I stood inside to wait to which she said "Can you please just wait outside? 🤨". We were quite taken aback by her response because the store only had 3 occupied tables out of the many they have there. We immediately stood outside and was attended slowly by her 5 mins later. The redemption in the service aspect was when the other staffs that took over her shift served us food and was quite polite. One even folded my jacket that I dropped on the ground without knowing.
View on GoogleEnjoyed the ramen here. We were looking for a good fatty tonkotsu and a nice shoyu. We ended up seeing this place and got the Roasted Shoyu Butter Corn and the Tonkotsu ramen. Both really hit the spot. The restaurant offers unlimited bean sprouts and hard boiled eggs so no matter how hungry you are you're likely to be satisfied. We also got the dumplings and those were pan fried to perfection. They even have a spoon dedicated to scooping your leftover pieces without the broth. The restaurant was fairly empty when we ate there as we had arrived about 10 min when it just opened on a Saturday. Ordering is via the app and it was served out rather quickly when we ordered. Will likely come back when the cravings for a solid straightforward ramen is back again 🙂
