Interesting concept. Service was good, served very efficiently quick. Best for lunch when you need an air con place with seats. However, finishing the entire plate makes you feel kinda sick with all that sauce and eggs. Not that it is bad, perhaps the portion and price can be smaller and lesser. Best to go with some coffee.
View on GoogleFood was good. The extra $2 for the lava egg is a bit pricy, but it was very nice. They ran out of pork cutlet at about 1pm. But the chicken was surprisingly nice, soft and juicy. Came back on a Friday afternoon at about 7, queue was crazy crazy long. Back again on a Sunday at 11, they didn't let us sit till about 1110am. There was a 10 person queue by 1145. Food took about 30 kins to be delivered. Ordered 1 lava egg pock cutlet. Food was nice, demi glaze sauce is nice, a little sweet. Service seems to have room for improvement. They have a small front seating area, and a slightly larger back sitting area. Our observation is that they let people queue even though there seems to be space at the back. That's just an observation. Quite unsettling though. Total for 1 pork cutlet with lava style egg is $19.77, quite expensive in retrospect.
View on GoogleCame here for lunch on a weekday. Waiting time was moderate. There were seats inside but we waited for awhile to be seated as the servers were busy. Ordered the demi glazed omurice with pork cutlet while my lunch partner ordered the curry omurice with chicken cutlet. We both topped up $2 for the lava style. Food wise: pretty ok. I do think that there was not much standard operating procedure in their serving of food. My demiglaze sauce was very much sufficient, whilst my lunch partner’s curry sauce was not the same amount. If you look at the menu, it seems like there is the same amount of sauce in the picture. And seriously, to want to charge $3 for additional curry sauce?? What is it made of? Precious curry powder? Funny thing to note is that you are paying $2 extra for the lava style omurice, when it’s not that they are doing more for the egg, it’s just being cooked for a shorter amount of time. And there is some serious mix ups, as the next table to us, ordered a lava style n a normal omurice, both came as lava style. The waitress was not able to answer why did both eggs came as the same lava style, so I reckoned it was a kitchen mix up. Menu: there were a few items not available and the menu was not updated as unavailable. And our server just told us it was sold out. Sold out? At lunch time? When we arrived at 12noon? I would have preferred it if the restaurant just told us frankly it was NOT AVAILABLE. I guess that for me. It was a novelty to come to a new joint. Would I come back again? Maybe..
View on GoogleBeen hearing a lot about OMU, popular of their Lava Style (additional $2) the egg was wet and wobbly. Ordered OMU with Pork Cutlet ($14.80). As for the sauce it makes perfect with Hayashi Sauce. Be prepare to Queue for it. Overall taste good! Nearest train station Esplanade (Circle line).
View on GoogleStaff seems aloof but food tastes great! The demiglace and curry is nice. Recommend the cheese fries. A bit pricey for students but lovely as a treat :)
