Love shopping at Meidi-Ya Supermarket! The selection of Japanese products is excellent, but the highlight for me is definitely their hot food and sushi. Everything is fresh, tasty, and great for a quick meal. The store is clean, well-stocked, and has a wonderful variety of authentic Japanese groceries and snacks. I always end up spending more time here than planned because there are so many interesting products to discover. One of the best Japanese supermarkets around!
View on Google2026.5.31 (Sun) If you want very fresh sashimi quick fix without paying GST, just stop by Meidi-Ya. It’s the best. Even better than some Japanese restaurants. We stumbled upon it, while having our Sunday morning walk. We got the mixed platter and salmon platter (didn’t take pic for this) for brunch. The freshness is similar to the seafood at Tsukiji market. It’s also way better than Fish Mart Sakuraya. They even have chairs where u can hang your handbag without slipping off. So ingenious. I would personally eat the sashimi here in the morning or late morning (when it is still very fresh) and will NOT doggybag it home. It’s a pity that hot matcha is not available. BYO? I would also bring my own wet wipes, for this gastronomical treat. I am still thinking about it, after 1 day 🤣
View on GoogleThe F&B at the ground floor have shifted to the second level. The new place Aircon is not strong and might feel warm after the meal. Spend a total of $37 for two persons .
View on GoogleMany nice Japan-imported food and snacks. Sashimi and sushi are very fresh. Exactly like the old Meida-ya at Liang Court.
View on Googlethe Japanese restaurant in Mediya ,called Bentoss, served wrong meal or maybe they don't know the taste is totally different. Menu shows salt grilled Salmon, but they served fresh grilled salmon and when I asked they served wrong one, they didn't understand what I mentioned.... Anyway, to avoid it, they should change menu and show correct one, or they should provide correct mean.
