It is our second time here. We love it after the first try and brought our family here. Ms Neo helped us at our table. Her service was superb. You must order the drunken soup and their bamboo clam. The bamboo clam is huge and very fresh. It's one of the best we ever had
View on GoogleOverpriced. Ordered the fish maw soup and that calls for minimum spend of $250 and above. If I came with 3 others, the minimum spend would have made more sense.. just 2 of us, nah… our final bill came to over $350. Soup was pretty smooth however flavour was kinda muted and lacking on the umami scale. Meat and other ingredients were fresh. We’re there pretty early so practically we “booked the entire restaurant” if u know what I mean 😆. Service was good. They showed us the various private rooms available when we asked into on bigger table for business dinners
View on GoogleFinally tried this restaurant after reading much reviews (both good and bad). I’d give a five star if only there’s some changes in either service or price. Overall it’s a pleasant visit. There are a few things that this shop exceeds and I cannot find competition yet: soup base and condiments. The soup base is exactly like advertised, thick and nutritious. We ordered MeiZiGuo. It’s full of ingredients including Chinese herbs and pork knuckles. Definitely the best in the market today and in fact the soup base itself definitely worth the price. The condiment selection is standard but the shop’s own mix is creative and you should ask the staff to make some sauce dish for you. As mentioned, one star was minus because of service and price. Service is good but since the price is so high you’d expect decent service. Unfortunately the service we had is just (or slightly below) Haidilao level which I can say is pretty normal today. Price is high as fine dining restaurants and celebrities chef restaurants. Not to mention the minimum spend which is unfriendly for small group of two. I’d give five star for next visit if they can up their game in service or lower the price to a more reasonable level (e.g. 20% cheaper or lower the minimum spend for smaller group).
View on GoogleSoup was tasty enough on its own. Limited items on the menu. Wasn’t aware of the minimum spending until we finished our order with the waitress and she said “that’s all?” Then we were made noticed of the minimum spending for hotpot, which is uncommon. For the amount we spent on this hotpot meal, we are better off eating at other more well known hotpot places with more choices. The place was empty during dinner hours. Hence you get attentive staffs.
View on GoogleOverall experience from staffs were consider good and bad. Food wise were fresh and delicious except the beef series were abit steep in value. When paying for a premium restaurant, expected better quality services provided by. A Table definitely doesn't need 6-8 staffs to attend to from the beginning. From ordering to food arrival, just require 2-3 staffs to provide service to placing dishes and extras on standalone food shelves. No additional baggage storage for customers to put their belongings instead I have to pit my bad on the seat which occupied half the space. Don't really enjoying eating with my butt sitting on "half seatings" Tea were mostly self-serving, where only starting and another time were served by staff. Staffs service should be attentive to the customer's teapot when needed to be refilled. Should place a cloth on the plate below the teapot, every pour, the tea drips outside all over the table. Conclusion, first time try, experiences and price paid not as good compared to certain places. Hope their services can be improved. Overall food is still good.
